I still hope it's just a rumor, though.
I mean, they can't be THAT stupid.

Not sure I like that comparison a ton. I think Barnes is more athletic and project better as a guy who can eventually take guys off the dribble. Even still if you could get rid of Deng;s deal and move up to get a really nice player in Barnes I think they should have done it. Getting rid o Deng's salary would have been really nice....had they decided to not end up replacing it with Asik's.

Yeah, getting rid of Deng's contract would have been nice. Also would have been nice if it was Noah's deal instead of Deng though since his runs out in 4 years compared to Deng's 2. I'd love it if the Bulls packaged Noah and Deng and dealt them for a star player though. Preferably a scorer... Or a couple of good players and high draft picks and clear cap space for free agents. Any of that will be better than keeping them on the roster and get nothing out them, especially when we're not winning anything for the next few seasons.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Another overrated Bull is poised to steal $$$ from the organization. :crazydance:

Knew this would happen the second Asik verbally agreed to the Rockets deal. It's moronic to pay a backup $8M (averaged out over span of contract) to provide 3ppg & 5rpg, but thank Noah's chronic ankle injuries for making this move a necessity.

EXACTLY!

And I like Asik....but not for that damn PRICE:nope:

If Houston was going to offer any center 15m/y, why wouldn't they go after Lopez? Do they seriously believe that they don't want to piss off the Nets right now, in favor of a shot at Howard? Plus they could offer Lopez more/longer too, because Brooklyn just killed flexibility with the JJ trade.

For that money he better be in the damn starting Lineup!

Move Noah to PF and Dump Boozer...I am just confused as to how this Organization Does Things, they clearly overrated the hell out of their Players

then when Gibson contract is done are they honestly going to expect him to take LESS then ASIK?:nope:

Spend that damn money on somebody with BETTER OFFENSE give that deal to Kaman for about 2-3 Years

The money on the cap only counts 8m a year for them not the actual dollar amount.
