True, but I believe Melo is a done deal to NYK until I hear otherwise. He's a East coast guy who just married LaLa Williams, former MTV VJ, and she's from NYC. I just wouldn't be surprised if he passes on us and goes there.

contractually, this would be ridiculously nice. rip signed a 3 yr. $34 mil contract extenstion back in Nov. '08 (2 yrs guaranteed w/ the 3rd partially guaranteed). his big contract ended this year, so this is all he has (and i'm sure he just needs a change in scenery). good move for chicago (and a lesson learned on to start doing 3 yr deals unless they're superstar players).

if they pull this off, Gar & Pax need contract extensions. make it happen fellas.

Well if the Raps can move Hedo, maybe theres a chance of moving Deng but it must be at the right price. Deng may be overpaid and injury prone but so far most of the trades and rumors we've heard dont favor us IMO.
