Well if the Raps can move Hedo, maybe theres a chance of moving Deng but it must be at the right price. Deng may be overpaid and injury prone but so far most of the trades and rumors we've heard dont favor us IMO.

They did move Hedo to the Suns yesterday. Deng's contract isn't as bad now compare to the contracts given this year.

Thats what i meant by if the Raps can move Hedo, maybe we could move Deng.

About the contracts this year, i dont see it that way. I don't see one guy and say "How he's overpaid, i guess Deng's deal isn't that bad after all.". Its like two fat people arguing about who's fatter. At the end of the day, you're both fat and it isn't appealing. This year is different from most. A lot of teams blew their whole team up in hopes of grabbing two elite players. We all knew players that didn't deserve big money would get it. Deng's contract also gets worse with an extra mill per year. Deng went to work on an old and beat up Heat team and got a big pay day. Deng's contract is as bad today as it was last year and the year before..Actually, it gets worse.

Agreed. I have no idea where this mindset started. Sounds like something people started saying to try and convince themselves it's not that bad with no real backing behind the thought. Deng's contract is a bloated turd. If it wasn't you'd have teams more willing to trade for him....but they aren't.

Yeah its just some kind of confidence booster for the fans.

I just hope Deng can at least play 72-75 games and play to his abilities because i just dont see him being moved.

The whole Deng to Portland trade could still happen. I like the whole aquiring Hamilton thing but, after thinking about it a bit more....he prolly won't be traded in that deal unless Detroit is really looking for a Bayless/Pryzbilla combo.

I just wanna see a good starting line-up set in place in the real near future regardless. We move him, great. We don't, oh well.

personally I dont think this will happen now.

It made sense if we had gotten LeBron. James could play sf, Rip at SG.

If nothing becomes of these possible trades for Deng this offseason. Then, as assumed, his progress will be monitored until trade deadline if the FO & Thibs are serious about moving him even then.

Who knows, he may produce well enough to keep his spot without question...BUT, just as the saying goes, and it's been said here before, "where there's smoke, there's fire". In Dengs case with these trades, there is a good bit of smoke.

There was a lot of smoke during the beginning of FA too. As it turns out, it was just people blowing smoke up our asses.

Dengs 25 and coming off of his 2nd best season. IF he can stay healthy, i think he can thrive with Boozer and Rose in his third year.

Then you'd be saying his 2nd season is, because it sure wasn't the last two seasons where he was lackluster and injured the rest of the time throughout them.

Last year was Dengs 2nd best season. 1st was that year we swept the Heat.

If we dont trade Deng, we will be fine. So will Deng. He isn't a stiff by any means and his defense will be needed to guard some of the better wing players in the league.

Deng, Noah, Boozer, and Gibson should have the best rebounding numbers of any front line in the league. Hopefully we can add Brad to this group as well.
