Excuse me, last 7 years.

Adam Dunn HR's: 46, 40, 40, 40, 40, 38, 38

OPS: .956, .927, .855, .940, .898, .928, .892

Walks: 108, 114, 112, 101, 122, 116, 77(due to the Nats asking him to swing at more pitches)

OBP: .388, .387, .365, .386, .386, .395, .356(again, due to the Nats asking him to swing)

So now tell me, how hasn't he been one of the most consistent players in baseball?

Maybe one, but he K's like crazy, hits for a poor average and plays poor D. That's consistent, but not in a good way. He hits the hr and walks.

We're not arguing that he hasn't been among the most consistent. But he isn't THE most consistent.

You can definitely make a case for him. Other than Pujols, I can't think of anyone who has been more consistent. He's 2nd behind Pujols. That's saying something.

In 2008 the Cubs were good.

And the person who runs MLBTR is a Cubs fan, so he takes more unreliable sources about the Cubs because he tends to be a Cusb optimist than he would for another team. If Kaplan was a writer for say Oakland, he wouldn't even be cited on MLBTR.

We're not that bad right now. With him, he gives us a shot at being in the playoffs. Plus, it's not like he had big requirements of going to a winner. He signed with the Nats.

It's pretty clear he wants to play here. If you can't see that, then you really need to wipe the cum out of your eyes.

That's because Oakland is a small market, idiot. So what if Tim Dierkes is a Cub fan? So what?

Just saying that he reads and posts more Cubs sources and is less picky on them than he is for other teams.

Criticizing dew's reading comprehension...

[December 20, 2008 at 3:08pm CST]

A source familiar with the team's thinking told MLBTR the Cubs have "exchanged pleasantries" with Dunn's agents, nothing more. It's been suggested that Milton Bradley is the Cubs' first choice.

The concern, of course, would be having Dunn play right field on a regular basis.
