Running half marathon/marathon

So for the last year Ive considered running the half marathon that Disney World hosts every year.. It just seems like something Id really like to do..

Anyone else run marathons of any sort?

I'm thinking about running the Chicago marathon this year. But 26.2 miles seems like a little too far of a distance to run, haha.

It would be a challenge for me.. but in a little while should be in shape to do it.

I ran the Honolulu marathon x2 and the Chicago marathon, all on pace(no walking).

I don't really care for marathons and I wont do one again. IDK and thats just me, but good luck cnm!

**** that man. Only time I ever want to run for multiple miles will be for my life, or a drunk fat chicks' chasing me. Of course if its the latter, I'd just have to avoid going downhill

I wouldnt do it till next year at the earliest.. So ive got lots of time for training and being prepared.

I'm running a full marathon in September. Most marathon training plans are around 18-22 weeks. I found a 6 month full marathon plan online that I'm using. I'd suggest going to Runners World.com great stuff there.

I say go for it.

And, from only being on here for about a month, there seems to be an ongoing joke about banging Zach's sister. I find it hilarious.

I just keep upping my running.. thats pretty much it.

That's all you really need. Motivation is #1, the way you run is up to you.

When I was deployed in Sudan, the runners there(because it was a means to get some of the kids out of that hellhole) taught me one of the best lessons for endurance.
"When your body is punishing your mind, you need to punish your mind to listen to your body."
Of course, any idiot can take that out of context, but with common sense, that is a runners philosophy to live by.
