To be fair collectively CCS has been more right than the Bears.

If we bought the team and ran it with polls (after debates and trolling each other of course) it would be a sure win.

To be fair I didn't ask about the Bears. I asked about Poles.

And no I don't think CCS has been more right. CCS supports moves then cries after they fail. They also don't remember their failed or stupid ideas.

When Buffalo had him in there at Center, he performed really well. He just had someone ahead of him who was even better. There wasn't a path for him to start there.
I agree. 2 years he played lot of snaps at guard and at center. I wonder what his stats are in the games he started at center 2 years ago. Just to know.

Sure but getsy was hired by.... Poles and co? Poles then in this scenario listened to Getsy and didn't make his own decision which is another indictment on Poles. Then after Patrick was unable to play and when he was able to play didn't look great for whatever portion of the game he did play, and decided to roll with him and whitehair (also had plenty of tape on him).

We can't blame getsy for everything.
Not into blaming him for everything. Poles missed out on some guys and was left going for Patrick. Yes he should have solidified it so not to have to reach with Patrick.

Yes. We all know how trades in the NFL work.

do the Bears have more cap space to play with or more draft capital to play with…?

When last year ended, going into this off season the Bears had the 7th or 8th most cap space in the NFL. So I would say yes they do have more cap space to play with.

As for draft capital....

Did someone say internet pissing contest and project while garbling the concept of projection? It's pretty astounding how shitty you and your alts' opinions have been since CBMB in 2004 @Mighty Joe Young but I admire your tenacity and steely resolve never to look in the mirror and consider "maybe I'm the asshole?"

I don't get it. You've got a draft that's very strong in centers:
  • Jackson Powers-Johnson
  • Zach Frazier (Former state wrasslin' champion)
  • Graham Barton
  • Sedrick Van Pran-Granger

I will wait for free agency to pan out before I call this a dumb trade.

You are reading Walter Football. No one cares about that website anymore. They have been surpassed by many other pundits.
LOL back in the day I LOVED Walterfootball. Loved the FA ranking list and updates to it. The draft stuff was pretty good too.
Then all of a sudden, even with decent bandwidth, their site would just take forever to load with all the crap it was loading, so I just went elsewhere.

Most of the Centers fans were fawning over last year had comparable seasons to Lucas Patrick.

Presume Poles wants to go into the draft with no glaring holes. Bears need a vet solution rather than hope and pray a rookie is ready. If we draft one and they are ready then Bates is great depth.

Bates could be our “bridge center”.
Yep, Remy beat me to it..

Poles doesn't go into the draft with glaring holes. That lets you draft Best Player Available.

He may draft a Center if he's BPA.

Bates plays Guard to, although his current wt is 302lbs, more a C weight. But he's also 6'4" and looks like he could add bulk for G. Would be a great backup to.

They could still very well take one of these guys at some point. I think the top 3 you mentioned will go to high for the Bears, but Van Pran could be had in the 3rd or 4th if the Bears like him.

I'm trying to at least keep him contained to the Bar or Debate forum, as not to muddy up the Bears talk.

Where the **** is @HeHateMe? I can't do this alone.

Wonder if there are any good takes in here.

Also can anyone clarify, is FA over and has the draft happened? Any chance poles adds a center?
