As long as he makes contact

His K numbers will still be higher than Brett Jackson's, but he'd hit 15 homers (he makes contact about 15 times a year :smug:).

While a joke this got me thinking how far would the fence have to be.

Also I wonder if someone like mike Stanton could actually hit the ball literally off the moon.

He'd have to hit it really damned hard to at least get it into a sustained orbit

Perhaps fielder would be a better example. Man I remember that ball that he hit where reed robbed him of that I think it was a granny actually.

Regardless that ball looks like it almost hit the moon.

Yes, ReJo robbed him of his would-be first career grand slam.

Honestly, if Sabermetrics are much better than current stats, why don't TV stations and websites use the metrics more?

They're starting to. MLB Network does it. Len and Bob talk about FanGraphs a lot too.

what websites do you read? bleacher report? & the tv stations dont go all out with saber because it doesnt appeal the average fan. although len is a big saber guy, which is boss.

I don't read fangraphs

That's why I posted a thread so that people can share their knowledge of sabermetrics.

I agree it's not the best but it does a pretty good job of dumbing it down for the common fan.

Plus it's the second best website to view sabermetric stats.
