it would probably be a quadratic actually, since a ball hit usually goes in some sort of parabolic path
This is why hit f/x is going to change the game as I know it.

Speaking of gravity, I bet Koyie Hill would be a beast if only baseball was played on the moon.

lol when i first saw this thread i was going to say range factor bro
but then soriano would probably burn my house down..and then poodski would eat my soul
While a joke this got me thinking how far would the fence have to be.
Also I wonder if someone like mike Stanton could actually hit the ball literally off the moon.
He'd have to hit it really damned hard to at least get it into a sustained orbit
Perhaps fielder would be a better example. Man I remember that ball that he hit where reed robbed him of that I think it was a granny actually.
Regardless that ball looks like it almost hit the moon.
Honestly, if Sabermetrics are much better than current stats, why don't TV stations and websites use the metrics more?

because they didnt have them. they didnt have tanks in the american revolution & we faired pretty well there, i guess that means we shouldn't use them now too

That's why I posted a thread so that people can share their knowledge of sabermetrics.
Because I don't dig deeper into baseball numbers like you poods and rice do.why don't you read fg? it's an excellent place to start. also, beyond the box score is pretty good.
