Paris is a pretty fun city, I studied there for a summer and had a fun time. Honestly I hope it rains on you a day or two. That's when Paris feels and looks its best.
Barcelona would have been a good choice too, that city is fucking gorgeous. Oceanside, mountain backdrop, tapas, and Spanish curves...ohmymy

We've been lucky that it has either been overcast or rained (mostly overcast except when we went to normandy which was sunny) the whole time, so whole trip was in the 60's and 70's -- perfect.

As for taxes, RTB, of course the 15% gratuity is there and shit was generally steep but we felt less ripped off than when we were in vancouver, prob just because this is a bucket list trip and we knew we would be using our tax return money. but Canadiens are allright with me though lol

Paris and Barcelona are two of my favorite cities. You should definitely check out Barcelona the next time you can afford to go. Beautiful city. I prefer it over Madrid any day. Not just saying that because I'm a Barcelona futbol fan. Have fun man. Try some escargots while you're there.

If I could recomend any place for families or even bachelors/bachelorette it's Phucket Thailand. Beautiful beaches, thaillands dollar is less than ours so about a grand can get you one of their best hotels and other things, nightlife is amazing etc.

In the spirit of this thread being moved to the bar- I can attest that Guiness in Europe does in fact taste better than the Guiness you get over here. Also, I've been told that Jaegermeister in the U.S.A. is made according to a different recipe (sans Opium) than what is available in Europe.

So, in short, if you are a fan of either of those beverages, you might want to at least sample them while you are across the seas.

Spartan does not approve of salmon pants. It might be ok for those French guys but c'mon.
