You win championships with both. You are over-generalizing.

I am not over-generalizing. Why do you think the Bulls let their "depth" go...the "depth" that people covet so much? Because in the NBA...you are only as good as those top 3, 4 players on your team. The core is what makes the difference. Having JL3 on your team as a 3rd pg is really not that important.

In the playoffs...when you actually win championships, you better have solid guys to build around. I think you underestimate the importance of the main guys on a team.

Th problem is the MAIN guys on our team kind of all suck, except Rose.
Noahs a good rebounder-decent shot blocker, but below average scorer....and injury prone..
Deng is good all around, but very average.....can't dribble...can't stop Lebron at all...or Melo.....So much for the elite defender.
Boozer has no heart.....the worst defensive front court guy in the league which makes his good scoring worthless.
Our 1 and only 2 guard is 45 years old and wears a fucking mask.....that is when he actually suits up to play........

That's our starting line up and main guys........not much better than what our bench was......

Did I fail to mention that all our main guys are injury prone........might as well of got rid of them and kept our young bench that we had.......And rebuilt a starting lineup around Rose......

Thatts how I see it and I don't care who does or doesn't like it....:troll:

 @ this even being as deep of a conversation, as it is.

Wow, the off-season was rushed like a bullet-train thanks to the lockout last year, and now with all of this extra time, it's a double-snooze fest. Scal drama is the hot topic.

We're looking at one good story per month this off season. This is the big story of this month.

Whatever you meant by your statement could have been phrased much better. You need some sort of depth to win championships. Just like you need player who have some kind of superior talent to win championships.

You would have a very hard time finding a team that had poor depth who have ever won a championship. And you would also have a hard time finding a team without great talent relative to the rest of the league who have won a championship.

Talent trumps depth every time. Don't believe me, look at this Heat team that just won the title.

2011 Mavericks were not more "talented" in their starting line-up than the Heat.

2004 Pistons were not more "talented" in their starting line-up than the Lakers.

Like I said, it takes talent in your starting line-up as well as talent/depth on your bench to win a championship. You need both. Not one.
