In 23 games played:

Hawks were on the PP a total of 70 times. They scored 8 goals on the PP for a percentage of 11.4% which ranked them 13th.

6 PPG at home, 2 PPG away.

Stats

I know this much...no Cup winning team had a lower PP% than the Hawks (11.4%) in the last 15 post seasons (I can't find this stat before 1998).

FYI....Boston also had an 11.4% PP in 2012.

Seriously, not to beat a dead horse. But if we had even a decent 18-21% Power Play we would have absolutely routed everyone.

Really interested in how we are going to handle the new cap situation now.

So far we've handled it with 2 Stanley Cups! First team to do so in the salary cap era! Honestly I'm concerned about it too, I don't think we have the Florida Fire Sale as bad as last time but we are definitely going to lose some guys. Probably lose Bickel and Roszival for sure and Shaw might be sent to his room for the entire 2014 season for dropping so many F-bombs on live television and radio.

I wonder what the NHL record is for least amount of PPG scored for a Cup winning team during the playoffs.

What did they have? 3-4 only?

Actually they had 8 if you can believe it. Hossa had 3, Sharp had 2, Toews Bickell and Shaw each had 1. Technically we had 10 special teams goals because Handzus and Frolik each scored a short handed goal. Our special teams just shit the bed in the Bruins series.

Bruins shut down PITT's 25% PP

PP is blown way out of proportion

The majority of the game is played 5 on 5

I'd rather be able to dominate 5 on 5....and have the stellar PK the Hawks had any day of the week.

PP's can get hot/cold and neutralized.

EDM always has good PP's....doesn't work for them either.

My favorite teams
 1. Portland Timbers
 1. Chicago Blackhawks
I thought our PK was epic. IMHO that's what put us over the top. Kruger and Frolik were unreal in it and both of those guys deserve some mad props.

I like Sharp's comments after Bickell's goal tied it.

He said he's always been jealous that Kane scored the OT winner the first time, and thought he now had his chance - but unfortunately Bolland beat him to it.

He said he also reminds Bickell that he had 10g to his 9g.

He'll be fine. He's already touted as the 1st pick in the 2013 Civil War Recreation Society's Draft. He's projected to be the first foreign born person to become a Confederate Colonel. :puke-front:

Toews goal last night might as well've been a shorty, shaw just outta the box, and Bickell's a PP, since Corey was on the bench. :eek:rcs-buttshake:

So Bolland's can be called an OT winner since everybody knows the last few minutes of a tied playoff game is like OT. No?
