Plus if you scroll down a bit on that page, there's another video of it, but the camera is zoomed out to where you can see all the board members and it doesn't cut off to where he first fires you see him get shot it looks like in the leg and then keep firing until he falls down. You can tell when he shot at the ground, there's no doubt those were live rounds, you can see the carpet get ripped up.

It said some were real and some were blank. The police confirmed live bullets "were" used. This is not stating all the bullets were live, just that live bullets were used in the gun. Could be one or two blanks as well.

I wasn't really trying to argue with you, I was just being a dick and pointing out that the Superintendent "believes" their were both and couldn't confirm it while the cops only confirmed there were live rounds and couldn't confirm there were blanks.

The lady who tried to be hero was on the news this morning being interviewed. At least the interviewer didn't call her a hero. That was pretty stupid what she did. If you notice the other council members are trying to talk to the guy and calm him down, try to reason with him, that's really all you can do. By this lady coming in and provoking the situation it could have been much worse. I remember my military roommate in college always told me the military had a saying about heroes - and that is ---> "heroes die first". I've remembered it to this day. What she should have done was leave and call police.

her problem was, she did it expecting to live.
When you are going to do something like that you have to fully commit to it and come to terms with the fact surviving your decision may not be an option.
She was hesitating the entire time, you could see the hesitation in her movement, because of that hesitation, her attempt was doomed to failure from the get go.
that and the horrible decision to just hit his hand with her purse. A better option would have been to just come up from behind and bear hug his forearm keeping the gun pointed away, while the others bum rushed him.

This guy looked like he had never handled a handgun before. I think he wanted to commit suicide and get shot. I don't know if he wanted to kill anyone or just get shot.

I didn't watch the clip - but the article said he'd been busted for shooting out a tire on his ex-girlfriend's car.
I don't have a lot of experience with guns, but I can't imagine that's real easy to do?
