It is setup automatically to pull from the NHL website and into an Excel spreadsheet which is then using conditional formating for all of the pretty colors and fonts....but I can look at adding numbers. Maybe the top 3. Just would need to think about the display format for those without making it seem too crowded. Hmmm

Hey Biscuit, since you will be exploring more options, can you see if you can do a projection on the points for the standings.

Can you PM me with some details on how you do that?

Wow, that's pretty cool that you can get excel to do that, I know it has all sorts of fun functions like that but never bothered. It's not a big deal, seems like it might be a pain in the ass to do it, I just thought if you were doing the dirty work automatically anyway, that it might not be that much more work to ad some details... As you can see it doesn't matter as I'm still in tied for the lead, and will win by the end of the year. Do we have a tiebreaker? I can't remember, did we say it was the point total?

Actually I use XML as the conduit into Excel since XML is a tad easier to extract data from HTML pages. The import into Excel is via a VB script.

The tie breaker is the hawks point total.

The actual code is proprietary and not owned by me. But I think this web page might give a hint of a possible method: http://blog.outwit.com/?p=54. Just keep in mind that to automate you will need to script the data into some format. I use XML as I mentioned above. Then an additional script to covert to excel in the format you want. An important thing to figure out is the data layout from the source...just isolate the web page to the data you want and pay attention to the URL format, then the location in the source to were the tags for the wanted data are.

Well when I look at any pool I just look straight to the bottom to find Mass' score.

Good job on being in a 3 way tie for 1st... for now.
