Look, for all we know he didn't have any reason to arrest her other than a cop just being a dick. So maybe we should figure that out first before we go hell bent on going to bat for a cop that hits a teenage girl. Especially when there is a crowd of people around with cell phone cameras.

The initial arrest isn't the point because the initial arrest was on a different girl. Her friend tried to intervene and get in the middle and that is when she got with the thunder stick.

I wouldn't call it a thunder stick because the cop was obviously a pussy since he couldn't slap cuffs on the first girl.

While I agree he should have used another force possibly a tazer to reduce the risk of the situation, but the girl clearly was intervening and she got punched.

We have no idea what the initial arrest was for, but she isn't the girl in question. Although she could have been knocked out too for resisting arrest to the extent she did.

Article's title is highly misleading.

He punched her friend for intervening while she was resisting arrest. Point is, her friend doesn't get punched in the face if two things happen...

1.) Original jaywalker doesn't resist arrest.
2.) Friend doesn't try to intervene, which was clearly a dumb decision.
