They took BPA. And they showed discipline in not trading too many future assets to fix a hole now. Sometimes your just aren’t placed to take the guys you want most. The elite olinemen were taken at 10. The best Dlinemen was gone. We could’ve gotten edge rusher, but if Loveland turns out to be very good, it’ll be worth it. Same thing with their second pick. There were no available RBs that we wanted because they were all taken a few picks earlier. So we took to BPA.

I also think we need a safety for the future, but it’s nowhere near as pressing as some would have you believe.

I agree with the premise of your post for sure with taking BPA and how the draft fell.

How do you think safety isn’t a pressing need? What’s the over under on games played by brisker this year? My guess is he plays around 4-5

We will see. There’s always the possibility that Brisker doesn’t get injured and we sign him long term after the seasons end. Something tells me he’s going to do everything possible to get on that field. This year is crucial for his earning prospects. If I see him in a guardian cap for week 1, I’ll be encouraged. Outside of the injuries, Brisker showed a lot of promise.

I like Brisker. I want him to work out. It’ll be hard to find another safety as talented. I’m ready to give him another chance. If he can’t stay healthy again, we can find a replacement next year.
