I know Whiteevo wouldn’t want us to make us fuss, but I was sure everyone would want to offer their thoughts, prayers and support. We are a crazyass dysfunctional family at IHN, always arguing or bitching or insulting each other, but there is one thing we all seem to agree on and actually get right. We always manage to come together to support someone going through a personal tragedy or rough period in their life.

As some of you may already know, Whiteevo was hit in the eye with a puck the other night while playing hockey and is going to be facing surgery/surgeries to repair the damage and restore his vision. I know everyone will want to send good positive thoughts his way for a full speedy recovery.

Whiteevo, Hun you are one of the Douches. We love you. I couldn’t not say anything. I know everyone in the League is pulling for you. Hurry and get well. You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers and not in a dirty way like some of the other league members.

Just wondering how you took a puck to the eye while wearing a visor. Did the visor break? Did it get tipped up underneath? Or was it a stick that came up and caught you?

Here's to a speedy recovery. Vision is something you don't want to mess with.

haha, thread wasn't necessary but the positive thoughts are appreciated!

pez, yeah i wear a visor but it's one of the really thin oakley ones. i only started wearing one when i had my daughter, my wife told me to wear a cage but i didn't want to. i used to not wear anything. so it's really only my fault. i was just cutting across the ice taking a pass from the d-man and a guy stuck his stick out to deflect it and it came up under my visor. don't worry ladies...it literally hit me right in the eye...my face is still beautiful.

for all you young hockey players out there...consider wearing a cage.

the worst, besides not being able to see out of my right eye, is the recovery. i got all this equipment delivered to my house last night.

i have to keep my face pointed at the ground 24/7 for a few weeks. and do literally nothing, not even read. ****.

today is my last day of internet for a while....i don't know how i'll get by, haha.

Good luck man! I had a puck rip open my eyebrow several years ago. Half an inch lower and well you know. So I know how scary those situations can be. Hang in there, pain is temporary but you want your vision forever

Are we sure that it was a puck to the eye? We are talking about Whiteevo here.

Just kidding man, complete bummer as to what happened, and hope the recovery goes well.

I didn't realize how you got hurt from the email you sent me....

You have my best wishes and prayers for successful surgery and rehab.

I know you can't play, but we will have a sweater AND a spot on the bench for you in Rockford.

Someone's gotta coach this motley crew.

Just don't go pulling a Mike Keenan and think you can pull the goalie.

So you get to look at your dong for a few weeks. Neat.

Stop looking at things and get better.
