Why? He makes 3.5 and, at most, is due for a 1-2 mil raise (2 is very high end, imho), plus he's restricted. There will be something between around 4mil to play with because the dead-cap space via bonuses will be expired. There's a chance some of the new guys will hit bonuses, but doubtful it hits the number it hit this year. Brouwer is a RFA after this year as well. Kopecky and Reasoner, if still around, will be UFA. Rest of the roster are fill-ins at this point.

If anything, this could mean Joe's boy will not be on the starting roster as that could save a few hundred thousand.

I guess I havent really broken it down that far. But hell if we can keep Keith/Seabs Hammer/Campbell around for the next 4+ years that will be a ridiculously good group of blueliners taking up most of the ice time.

And the more i read about Beach the lower my expectations are for him.
