White Sox get an insurance run. President Obama's entourage and some random Sox fans are pleased:

That insurance run was obviously very important.

That game was a little too close for comfort. I hate how the Sox are struggling to hit with runners in scoring position now, especially when they're the league best. Oh well, Beckham somehow came through big for us tonight.

just gotta get through the shitty hitting times. I mean look at the Tigers...they were pretty solid against us and play the dreadful indians and score 2 runs....get princes leadoff double in the 9th and fail to tie it. its that time of the year.

Yeah, I wasn't even too worried about it after the Sox got swept. Would I have loved to put a big separation between us and the Tigers? Of course. No doubt about it. But even ESPN said it in the 8th or 9th inning during game 3 ... "if things happen like they usually do, the Sox will go home and have a fantastic home stand, and the Tigers will keep losing at home".

Mets fans, lol, Chicago >>> New York, my AL allegiance is to Chicago, not the Yankees, only way you like the Mets as a Sox fan is if you are one of those stupid fans who just hates the other Chicago team and picks the Mets cause of 1969.

I like the Mets because they were always on TBS when they played Altanta.

The 06' Mets were solid. David Wright, Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgado, Billy Wagner, Jose Reyes, Jose Valentin, El Duque, Paul Lo Duca, Pedro Martinez (mediocre though), Tom Glavine.

Too bad they choked against St. Louis in the NLCS that year, and them collapsed twice to the Phillies in '07, and '08.

its sad that you have to defend yourself because you like the mets.

Mets are very likable, and they go through a lot of the same stuff we go through. Treated like "second class citizens" in their own town, unfair media coverage, they can't ever win IN Atlanta (similar to our problems in the Metrodome/CoPa), Chipper Jones rapes them similar to how Willimgham kills us.

The first year I liked them was in 05, when they signed Pedro, Beltran, they still had Piazza, Cliff Floyd, Kaz Matsui, brought in Doug Meintkawicz (sp?), etc. Shea seemed like a cool place.

Everyone laughed at me when I picked the Mets to win the East in '06. But, like history shows, I tend to me be more right than wrong with baseball.

I dont find anything to hate when it comes to the mets.

So, anyone else expecting Jamey Carroll to go 3-for-3 tonight with 2 more home runs, bringing his season total to 3, all in this series?

Fucking White Sox killer, that guy is.
