What do you guys do when it comes to girls. Hit it and quit it or commit to one. I tend to hit it a couple times then move on to another. The longest relationship I've been in was 7 months and I didn't cheat on her so it was just her that whole time. But since then I've been with a couple other girls. Just curious since I've been having doubts about the way I do it lately

The girlfriend thing isn't always super fun. The lows of a committed relationship tend to be as big as the highs, at least as my experience has gone. So while I can understand the frustration on your part Capt. Serious (I was...lets call it a late bloomer, as well). I can't help but think of these immortal words:

Still being single doesn't bother me per say.

My youngest sister has had like 4/5 boyfriends while my oldest sister got married to a guy she's known since high school.

I sure as hell don't wanna be like my younger sister.

If I ever do land a girl, I hope it's long term.

Everyone's experience is different. I was never in any sort of relationship until I was 19, but I have been with that person for the past 10 years. It doesn't always work out that way, but when it does for the most part it is worth it. I really did mean that part about the lows and highs of even a committed relationship can be a lot, but again I only have my experiences to go by on that front.

Listen to Dewey.

Just have fun, meet people. If something comes out of it awesome. If not, you're freaking 18, just play the field a little.

I'm 21, have had like... one... serious girlfriend and several flings. I'm talking to a girl from work now who I sorta might like, but my whole philosophy is not to get super involved unless there's a real reason to.

Since I can't get married (imaginably) for a few years, I'm just testing the waters to see where it goes. It really doesn't make much sense to date and stuff if you're not looking to get married (or laid :shifty:, but that's what your right hand and the hawt chicks thread is for).

Just my opinion/ things to consider.

Don't do what I did...I had a long term relationship in high school that went into my freshmen year of college...and after that break up I kinda just moped around for a year after that breakup. At the time I was never one who took failure and rejection very well, and after a failure with an attempt with some girl happened, I basically backed off and wouldn't do shit with anyone. In general, I've always been someone who would rather be in a relationship than just a casual fling or what not. However, later on I did have a few flings that I thought might have relationship potential, but they went no where (bullshit drama was usually involved).

I had a relationship earlier this year that only lasted a month as the girl and I were better off being friends than in a relationship (We became much closer as friends, and no, there are no benefits involved).

At 23, nearing 24, living with my parents and done with school, it's hard to meet for me to meet many new people. So at 18, unless you live on your computer all day, its not going to be that hard to meet new people. IF you're going to go to college, there are plenty of people to meet. So go out and have fun. Something I wish I did more of from 18-21...but whatever. Nothing I can do about that now, just have to make the most of the future.
