Should players be allowed to tackle/sack Mahomes?

NFL would never do that.

Its like the pass interference review they had in place, they never overturned 1 call even when it was clear the call was wrong at times.

The nfl still defends refs and say they did nothing wrong even when there is a clear penalty on the play(an example is the bears blocked fg vs the packers. NFL said the play was legal when it was clear they climbed over the back of the longsnapper, which is a penalty.)

The real solution is to hire full time referees who are held accountable for shitty calls.
They do kind of do it though. And I think it's a playoffs thing.

NFL referees are not disallowed from having other careers, but they do attend plenty of training and organizational meetings before, during, and after the season. I think the human eye is just fallible...

There's no agenda or secret backroom meetings. The referees as a whole suck at their jobs. Just think about how many plays this year have been quick reviewed and overturned without an official review or coach's challenge simply because the booth saw that the refs got it wrong.

And they aren't just missing PI and holding which can be subjective. They are missing full on punches to the face, facemasks, low blocks, leverage, and anything else that is obviously observed and mentioned by whomever happens to be in the broadcast booth.

To have all of this technology and not be allowed to use it is borderline criminal.

I think not. Think about it, the league is nothing without Mahomes and it’s just not worth the risk of having the GOAT QB knocked out of a game for something as trivial as a sack or tackle. Imagine watching the Superbowl in a couple of weeks and not having the face of the league there. Unthinkable!

What say you?

You are correct and its rather sad you even needed to ask.

Hopefully the NFL also implements a Taylor-Swift's-Boyfriend Rule which prohibits hits to the body of a player dating Ms. Swift.

Its rather insensitive so many fine Women worry their boo might get a boo boo!

Humans are going to human.....lol....that's not changing. Taking the tappoons out of the backroom is the real reason for no more secret backroom meetings.

I wouldnt say they suck. The game is just too fast. They need to just expand booth reviews to penalties and overturn the obvious mistakes.

I would vote for that.

But we saw the ref looking at Cousins being facemasked in his own endzone. That definitely didn't happen too fast.

But overall, agree they need more instant reviews.

It's so funny, because Mahomes FOR YEARS has had that as his patented move:

Run toward the sideline, then purposely slow down, initiate contact, fall down out of bounds, get the flag.

I've been pointing this out for years. It cost the Bengals their playoff game against the Chiefs two years ago.

Now finally people see it. That's literally his patented move.

Wrong. Mahomes’s patented move is leading a clutch game winning drive.

With the help of a roughing the passer call and usually a defensive PI too.. 45 air yards by Mahomes, 30 yards from the refs. LOL.
