Taj Gibson could be one of those PER36 guys. Looks like he'd be really solid/good if he played more minutes but he is a bit thin(for the position) and not sure he could take the pounding against other PF's. Not sure if his game would hold up over bigger minutes.

That being said...I'd rather see him out there than Boozer.

I believe that Boozer should start and if the flow of the game demands harder defense he should be replaced by Taj.

Boozer is top10 Forward rebounder in the league and he can score 30 points if he is in a good day.But despite the fact that all his defensive stats are better than Lebron's he is lazy and slow in defense. So if you don't need harder defense there is no need not to start with him.

The only reason Boozer is starting is because of his contract in my opinion. He has the ability to play amazing, but so does Taj. I doubt he will enter the starting line up anytime soon.

Haha I'm pretty sure Boozer would be the highest paid role player in the league if that were to happen. But no, Taj is good in his role with the bench mob, Boozer's gotta start.

:yep: i agree with this Taj is good because of the minutes he plays are short, most of the time. but at this point boozer is a waste of time, he is so inconsistent i cant count on him to score 10 points two games in a row anymore. We really fucked ourselves with this guys contract. After watching Utahs big men play the clippers last night i saw how bad we are in the paint. Sorry if i'm wrong about Utahs big men but they seemed to score whenever they wanted to and always get a quality shot off.

I would start Taj over Boozer.

Where is the poll so I can vote? The poll results would be interesting.....

Gibson's defense is more reliable than Boozer's offense. Gibson should start.

Also, offensively, Gibson is, at least, somewhat explosive to the basket. If Boozer's soft man's jumper isn't falling, forget it. And it's usually not falling against the good teams. Boozer is completely bothered by length.

It also bothers me that one of the main reasons that Boozer sucks at defense is that he doesn't even care enough to try.

Taj's offense is light years ahead of Boozers defense.

No, you can't start Taj over Boozer. This introduces a conflict from the players. First, you inflate Taj's ego and raise his market value well above what it's worth, and secondly you greatly increase the potential to create a cancerous player on the bench. The configuration, as is, is optimal. If Boozer is off his game, a good coach should give the minutes to the performer, and if that is Taj, then Taj off the bench for the 25+/23 split will be far more effective.

A guy who refuses to play defense because he doesn't want to isn't cancerous?

If it hurts Boozers feelings, too f***ing bad! Tell him to grow the f*** up and start being a good teammate by playing defense like everyone else.
