I never said doing that is Okay, I just love Clay Matthews.

Spiking the ball is allowed. Running to the back of the endzone, and jumping into the stands is a little different.....and should be viewed as such by NFL rule.
If Jared Allen cannot continue his sack dance where he goes to one knee and ties an imaginary steer, the rule is where a player may not be allowed to celebrate a play by "going to the ground" then why should a player be allowed to leap into the stands?
Logically makes no fucking sense to ban one thing and not the other.
NFL doesn't care what the fans think. Millions and tens of millions if not hundreds of millions is made in profit every year. why care what the fans think when they still go to the games, buy the merchandise, watch the NFL network, the cable programs which allows for all the games on game day, and lastly filling the stands? Worthless to argue when the NFL itself doesn't care.
Act Like You've Been There Before
By Bill Michaels
What ever happened to the Paul Brown adage, “Act like you’ve been there before”?
There’s nothing more pathetic than watching an athlete celebrate an individual accomplishment like a ranting jackass while your team founders badly. You do not impress anyone, as a matter of fact; you transform yourself, before our very eyes, as a selfish, rather pathetic figure.
Interesting article from a Packers journalist in Milwaukee.
Oddly enough, there is no mention of the Packers or the Lambeau leap!

How is it that dumba$$ Ochocinco can't do a lame dance, but the boneheads to the North can do the "Lambeau Leap" and are not flagged for Excessive Celebration?
The fans are the people who have created and catered to the culture where image and media coverage has a huge imprint in the way things are controlled. That's a big part of what has caused the NFL to respond. Besides if it was such a giant issue these fans would actually not purchase and watch games due to it. That would be more foolish than the excessive or premature celebrations players continue to do.
Besides, your allowed to celebrate a whole lot without any penalties ON THE SIDELINE, just hold yourself to that if you don't want a flag, great players like Jerry Rice did it for the majority of those touchdowns.
Jared Allen should be nominated too.
I love Allen's celebration.
Do Packers frequently do it if they are behind in a game though? If they do I'd blame the FANS for even letting them jump up there, they should push them off and tell them to get back and do it again.
