Since the "disaster" statement from good ol' JR... Chicago has went 22-14.... which is a winning percentage of 61%.

Just a little tidbit to throw out there...

Not bad for a team having 3 starters which are getting solid minutes for the first time in their careers... Noah, Tyrus and Rose.

Motivation tatic or just JR being angry over the fear of missing that playoff money which he would not be able to invest into the Whitesox?

I wonder if things like that make a difference or whether it was just coincidental. The big trade and easier end of schedule stretch I think had more to do with it, but still our winning percentage increased by 50%, so that's quite a change.

This just proves how uninvolved JR is with the Bulls team at times. Rookie PG, Rookie coach, a bunch of chuckers (Noc, Hughes, Gooden).....yet he calls being 6-9 games under .500 a disaster? More like a product of the pieces that make up this Bulls team IMHO.

Some will say "it's the same team that won 49 games and got to the 2nd round two years ago".

Well...no it isn't. We had a coach then then got Kirk and Deng to overachieve, BG and Noc to play smart, and we had a huge asset in Ben Wallace (for one season). The east was horrible that year, and the sweep of Miami was an abberation as Shaq did nothing, and Wade was injured. That's not to say that 06-07 team wasn't good (they were) and didn't have quality NBA talent (they did). It's just that there was a "perfect storm" of weak east, easy 1st round opponent, and a coach that got the most out of all his players and his team, as a whole. They aren't who we (and Pax and JR) thought they were.

I'm not sure his "disaster" quote did anything other then push the accountability away from him and Pax over to the team and the coaching staff. Who knows though, maybe it helped?

The winning started 10-11 games before the trades happened. It seems to coincide with the rotation being shortened. To me, the coaching staff showing confidence(because they had too) towards Noah and Tyrus gave the 2 experience, confidence and allowed them to get into the flow of the game.

I think he'll be fine in time, but i'm in no hurry to see him in goal. Hope Corey stays strong for as long as it takes for them to find a backup.</p>
