Rotation is already too lefty heavy....if he wants to spend, go JD Martinez to DH or he can go cheap by taking a flyer out on Familia. I mean old relief pitchers is Hoyers speciality, isn't it?

I don't think they can tbh at least not until after the QO falls off him. If they sign him they lose IFA money and they've already spent it.

Edit: nevermind i'm sleepy. Montgomery wasn't QO'd cuz the trade.

They aren't doing another big signing this year until the trade deadline. This isn't the year to go over the luxury tax, and this move would put them in that territory.
