You can see the effect of the stupid rules over protecting QB's. Defenders now slow down as they get close in case the QB unloads the ball. Therefore, they miss tackles and sacks and strips. I have seen it all year (by teams that get close to the QB). Defenders are afraid to finish the play because it is always flagged.
