Gah, off to go shovel, hope my wife can drive home in this storm, if not she's walking it and I will probably have to walk to her work to pick her up. Can't have her walking alone. Its not far, probably 2 miles.

We got 12" so far here...Locals are goin crazy...All their cars are in the ditch etc.

There is 1 plow for the main HWY..He is plowing and dumping sand on the road..Problem is, he is dumping sand in the middle of the lane that goes under your car. The wheels get none...lmao

So far from the south, I've seen cars on fire on the interstate, a guy clearing snow from his driveway with a lawn mower, and a Walmart worker clearing the snow off the sidewalk by putting the snow in a shopping cart.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Nebraska Cornhuskers
  2. Villanova Wildcats
In all honesty, how often do people in the south actually deal with this? I mean, I know it's easy to poke fun at a guy using his lawn mower to clear snow, but I can't imagine snow blowers and snow shovels have been a popular item at Lowe's in the past 10 years.

A fresh immigrant from Mexico at an old job of mine saw snow for the first time, and poured salt allover their car. Then all of their Mexican friends were like, hmmm, good idea, and put salt on their cars too.

The 7th one stopped them, and told them salt is bad for the paint. Which at the point, they started pouring warm water on their car instead. I walked over and let them use my ice scraper/brush.

Considering how well they take care of their cars it would be a shame to ruin those pristine paint finishes

Oh I know, its still hilarious though. I mean if I didn't have a snow blower or a shovel... lawn mower would be the best option, until it stopped working.
