So you dont want to give chicken a try? Start with tendera, dip em in bbq sauce. Even little kids like tendies.

Maybe Cornish Hens taste differently than normal Chickens, I think that's what Urblock was talking about.

I blame the OP for derailing a perfectly good snow thread into hostile poultry politics.
Everyone likes snow...even PETA.
They taste like little chickens.
Cornish hens are all picking and no meal.. nothing worse than picking a good pile and biting into some shot.
If I am gonna eat something that small, give me turtle dove all day...make a good gravy with it and its slap yer mama good
What's the appeal then? More tender?
Grew up on a farm. Don't want to pet something I eat again. Just sayin
How old is too old for tenderness in the chicken world?O'h my god yes. The wife butchered the 2 roosters we had, ate them last night, oh so good. Not to bad , didnt want the roosters to get too old or the meat would be tough
i dont pet them . i dont even deal with them , thats what the wifes for .
You see that picture in my avatar? thats a cornish cross chicken. picture took last week at 9 weeks. Wife says thet are about 3 lbs. They are not the fast growing cornish cross, mine are the slow growing cornish cross. A lot of meat there

Like can you wait until they don't lay eggs anymore, hens obviously in that scenario, but just curious in general.

LOU, don't you get attached to your chickens and feel bad for killing them?
You pet your wife?
It looks like a chicken! The picture is small for me(on my phone)
