How about him, he led his team to a win over the magic with 23,5,3 on 6/10 shooting and getting 11 fts.

But how about Luol Deng with 24 pts and 20 boards? And a 3 to boot.

In 2010 i kinda hope that we address the following. Our two best players thrive at doing the same thing. They're both better at slashing to the basket. Rose is better at beating people off the dribble, and deng is good at making cuts to the basket. This kinda sucks, and it has it's benefits. Sadly we lost one of the best shooters in the league, so we need to replace him. We need an amazing shooter who can defend. that's our ideal 2 guard right now. I'm not sure who that is...but man could we use him.

With Rose and Deng on the floor, we definately need two thigns as a team. We need to get a DEPENDABLE 3 point shooint option at the 2 guard. I'm not sure who we could put in. At times we might want to put in two shooters, so we could move deng to the 4, so we also need a depenable shooter off the bench something in the mold of Gallanari/kapono.

until then i do like the idea of making miller take some corner 3's, asking kirk and john salmons to practice shooting. and asking james johnson to develop a 3 point shot. imagine if he gets in the game as pf/sf who has a 3 pointer. He's still young(yeah he's 23, but this is first year in the nba.) he still has room to grow into something.

I think if we resign miller next year (to be a role player who absorbs all the back up center minutes), get some shooters, and get a pf who can score and defend, we could be a real force in the east.

Are we going to do this every night? Compare who had a better night?

I didn't. Houheffna was the first one to bring it up. I said the same thing: this is a Luol thread. pinkizdead is the guy you're after.

When talking about Loul's efficiency you also have to consider not just his TS%, but that he's a low turnover player. That makes him more efficient than his shooting numbers would suggest.

What's working? The Bulls offense? The Bulls offense is the third worst in the league through three games. The Bucks, who are coached by the offensively inept Scott Skiles, and the Charlotte Bobcats, who may be one of the worst teams in NBA history, have worse offenses, and the Bucks aren't far behind us.

What the hell? Offensively inept Scott Skiles? God you are so friggin' wrong it's giving me a headache. Skiles is a very good offensive coach. Name me a better coach at drawing up a play out of a timeout. I dare you. And his motion offense almost always gets his players a clear shot at the basket. It's not his fault that the talent level on his team is piss poor & they can't hit wide open jumpers.

No way in the world Skiles is an offensivley inept coach. We always talk about how if he were still here we would be scoring on 99% of all plays coming out of a timeout. There's not many coaches better, if any, at drawing up out of bounds plays than Skiles. Offensively inept...what is this garbage?

I agree wholeheartedly. I think Skiles is an excellent coach, I do think he would be a better fit for college...higher turnover rate and he wouldn't wear himself thin with players the way he does in the NBA. The Jerry Sloans of the NBA are a dying breed.

The thing that has impressed me the most about Deng so far this year is his aggresiveness in attacking the offensive boards. It's exactly how Tyrus should play the game...if Tyrus played with the aggresiveness that Deng has showed on the offensive boards, he would be an All-Star. We need those offensive boards the way we are shooting.

If Deng shows that aggressiveness in attacking the boards on a consistent basis, he will be an allstar himself.

yeah. if oyu look at the difference between the wins and the losses, the biggest difference seems to be those offensive boards. If they leave Joakhim to rebound all the boards by himself, this team stinks. When deng starts rebounding, we do amazingly. imagine if we had a defensive 4 that rebeounded some defensive boards to help deng and joakim/miller.

he is being found more when he is making cuts to the basket. I think the players know where to get him the ball more so now. he has been decent from mid range. I do hate that sometimes they try to run an iso for him with the ball in his hands and he almost everytime turns it over or misses the shot. I think the key is he is hustling for the offensive boards more.

I hope Deng can continue his play. I hope Rose and Salmons can step there game up as well.
