on 3rd (or 4th) down and 1-2 yards to go, Forte had 10 carries for 53 yards while the Bears short yardage specialist, Bush, had 7 carries for 0 yards.

Honestly, and this is honestly, I'm glad he is a Bear, I said it earlier in the season and I say it now, it has to be the least worrisome spot on this team, he has done nearly everything asked of him and he has done it to a standard that any team in this league would be proud to have him under contract on their roster.
As far as labelling him, what a great scat back he has turned into

I can't believe there are people who are fans of this team not believe he is elite. If it weren't for him we would have been a pretty awful team the last few seasons. I wouldn't be surprised if some of you thought Cedric Benson or even Curtis Enis was better.

Why have you got to label him anything? What the fuck is this fascination with labelling players. If they are good at what they do in their defined role and make others jobs shed loads easier then just embrace it. For fuck sake.

What 5 RBs could you put in front of him? You'd prob go with. McCoy, Charles, Lynch, Peterson and stumble for a 5th, maybe a healthy Arian Foster? This year Forte finished:
#2 in total rushing behind only McCoy
#3 in Rushing 1st downs behind McCoy and Charles
#4 in ypc (at least 200 att) behind McCoy, Murray, Charles
#4 in total TDs by a RB behind Moreno, Charles, Lynch
#3 Yards from scrimmage behind McCoy, Charles
Those look like elite rankings to me.
For my money McCoy and Charles are the best in the lg right now hands down but Forte isn't as far behind as people would have you believe.
Charles doesn't get the amount of touches McCoy gets (lead the lg) but he's got a 5.6 ypc average for his CAREER. That's gonna contend for best average all time if he keeps it up. Just a random fun stat thrown in.
