Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It is the one thing I can always count on that is a constant in my life and I find that very comforting. I will be scarfing down my turkey and Polish sausage and pumpkin pie and trading insults with my cousins. Nothing has changed since I was born. It is the one thing my functional dysfunctional family shares and I love it. I am so thankful for all I have and especially that my dad got good reports from his cancer doctor again. I am most thankful that we all get to share one more Turkey Day together. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Drive safely and eat lots of yummy stuff.

I'm just hanging out with my family at our house. I'm thankful for my family and my friends. I'm happy everything is good with your dad Bri. I hope everyone has a happy turkey day.

Having Thanksgiving at our house again this year. I cleaned the whole house on Sunday - that's my job. Now I turn it over to the wife and sit back and eat all I can

If I may, I'd like to give a shout out to an old o-board poster named El-Sid who posted this beauty a couple years ago when asked what he was thankful for --> "I'm thankful for vaginas, and the women who have shared theirs with me". By far the funniest post I've ever read and still remember it today. Where you at Sid?

Well I'm hoping to get home but it's looking more and more like my flight outta here is gonna get canceled due to snow (cause we don't have enough already
<
) So I guess if thanksgiving happens for me this year, I'll be thankful for just getting home

I'm thankful for my family, including my 2 dogs. We lost our cat this weekend (she got hit by a car) so I'll be giving my dogs some extra attention.

Have to do the 2 family thanksgiving this year. Total pain in the ass, but such is life. At least I get 2 good meals out of it.

I'll spend the day with my family. Cooking, odd jobs, maybe go to a movie in the evening or just chill out and relax.

I'm thankful for beer and the plethora of choices we have when it comes to brands, varities, bottles, etc...

I am thankful for thankfulness. Because without thankfulness, how would we know what to be thankful for? Thankfulness fills me with thanks, and without that full feeling of thanks, i wouldn't be super thankful.

Thank you for the lovely sentiment on thankfulness. I was thankful that it was over quickly, thankfully.

That kinda leads into my question. If there is a thanksgiving, shouldn't there be a welcomegiving? I was taught that it is rude to not say "you're welcome" if someone says "thanks"

Thankfully, my brain doesn't have to thank every thank that thanks out of it.

Why do I get the feeling that this statement is going to cause this thread to get hijacked

I was thinking Ymono could take care of pacifying you. He already knows what you like? Do you like pudding?

He does, but he is getting, well, boring.

That was El Cid (Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar (c. 1043 – July 10, 1099) Also, known as El Sayyid was a Spanish Nobleman who ultimately turned Mercenary General and played both sides of the Spanish/Moorish Conflict.

Enough about the history of his moniker, but yes, El Cid, Rocklobsta and Mr. Puzzo have been AWOL. I know all of them are friends outside of the site.
