Has anyone given an explanation as to why they decided to go for one after the two point conversion penalty?

I was flabbergasted when they did it.

It’s obvious he wanted to go for two at first, but then realized that it was going to be hard to get regardless of where we are at. So on the 2nd opportunity, he just decided to play it safe instead and go for the PAT.

Not that hard to figure out. Don’t need an explanation.
