Soto to DL, Lee to bereavement list, Castillo and Hoffpauir recalled

SAN FRANCISCO- The Cubs called up catcher Welington Castillo and Micah Hoffpauir from Triple-A Iowa after Monday's 4-3, 11-inning loss to San Francisco.

Castillo will replace Geovany Soto, who will be placed on the 15-day disabled list due to his sore right shoulder. Hoffpauir will be with the Cubs least through Thursday, as Derrek Lee was placed on the bereavement list to deal with the illness of his grandfather.

Neither will likely stay up for long, but seeing what Castillo can do in the majors will be interesting IMO

I was really hoping to not have to see Hoffpauir again. Oh well, better him than Nady or Baker I guess.

Castillo should be interesting to watch if he ever gets to play. I bet he takes Koyie Hill's job next season.

I think Castillo is a better option than Hill i my opinion. Also, Hoff has been hot and not much of a surprise.

Evey power lefty strikes out a ton. But, he has been hitting good as of lately. We'll see how he produces.
