Well I live in Chicago and everyone is a buzz with this news, especially ESPNChicago, who broke this "story" just awhile ago. It's not major news, just something to chew over. Thought it deserved to be discussed here since this will be the headline likely tomorrow around chicago.

All it says is that Rose would want to play with Gasol (who quite frankly is more consistent and better than Boozer) and that if the Bulls wanted to trade for Gasol (in a straight up trade), he'd be fine with it.

ha I'm not mad at you or anything if that's what you're thinking Teez. It says in the article though that "The Spanish news outlet Marca was the first to report Sunday". Just find that a little odd that a different country would be breaking this "story" instead of a Chicago based news outlet.

Okay, I have to rant a little bit...anybody who wouldn't make that trade...I am speaking Boozer/Watson for Gasol....is a damn fool!!!!!!!!!!!

Gasol is the most skilled big man offensively in the league outside of Nowitzki. Noah could play off of him, he has a legit post game and has won 2 titles! It would be a heck of a move if they can pull that off.

This may also mean somebody is tired of playing with Boozer. (HINT...HINT!!!)

That said, this is all speculation, and expect Rose to deny everything tomorrow.

I’d do this trade.

But I find It hard to believe that the Lakers would do it. Why would they want a guy who’s going to be making a lot of money over the next 3 years and does the same shit Gasol does except not as good? Watson is better than Blake and Fisher, but he isn’t good enough to take Boozer’s contract over the next 3 seasons.

I’d guess that the Lakers would also want either Asik or Gibson and a pick. If we didn’t get another big in return, that would hurt our frontcourt depth.

There are much better offers out there for LA if they want it. No way they settle for Boozer/Watson.

But yeah... I can see this being BS. Rose is the same guy that has said he his fine with the teammates he has and won't recruit or do anything else because that's the GM's job. So I find it hard to believe that he went up to garpax and said he wants Gasol. Could have happened, but I kinda doubt it at this point. Especially since the source was anonymous and it was first reported by a spanish news outlet. If Rose "privately" went to Garpax, how would a spanish news outlet know about it?
