No chance they take either. Rios will IMO be waived if they pull off a trade for Rasmus, who the Cardinals would be foolish to trade him now. His value is way too low w/ the awful season he's had offensively and defensively.Please do and take Pierre or Rios with ya, STL.
If the White Sox do get Rasmus, Jordan Danks will likely go the Cards IMO

Just being facetious. Rasmus is not having a good year, but at this point I'd still take him over Rios in center. Rios is a lost cause IMO.

People still expect Colby to be a star though, so it'd take a little bit more than a SP to get him. But the Cards GM is John Mozeliak, so he'd probably accept Rios straight up for him.

The Cards are talking about a trade for Jackson or Thorton and a prospect.. If they take Jackson, I think they'll try to keep him more than a rental. Rasmus is not having a great season but still worth way more than a rental.

As stupid as Mozeliak is, I highly doubt Jackson will be anything more than a rental. Jackson will be a Type-B free agent and they'd rather take the sandwich pick in next years draft than keep Jackson.

Yes he does... I guess you try and trade for a player that's stock is low as of now and hope his peak comes to that.

My guess for the prospect would be Jordan Danks. I've been hearing his name thrown around the trade rumor mill for awhile.

That would be my guess too. He's one of the Sox's better prospects and after him, there's really nothing. It will be interesting to see what prospect is thrown in the trade if the trade were to happen.

It probably won't be a CF or OF prospect, it'd most likely me a middle infield prospect. Someone like Eduardo Escobar maybe?

I remember it too, I thought it was a Rasmus for Quentin swap rumor. Late last year or in the offseason.
