Jeremy Roenick on ESPN 1000 this morning believes Stalberg was scratched because of his complaints for more ice time and not poor performance.

If the 3rd line wakes the **** up and starts seeing everything Detroit will be peeing themselves.

When asked about the way Zetterberg is playing him J. Toews replied "so it’s time to dish that back a little bit and just try to make things more difficult for guys like him and his linemates as well.”

Well despite not knowing how to properly throw a hit stalberg wasn't great nor was he horrible today. almost had a goal until it was called back..hit a post. Not bad but posts are posts not goals. he was just a member of a team that overall played like crap as a whole. Again maybe he does need to play on the pp because the guys on it now stink. Put the entire 3rd line on the pp for all i care.

I thought Stalberg played fine. His speed created that breakaway that rang off the crossbar, he singlehandedly created the disallowed goal and he also nullified an icing with his speed earlier in the game.

well he certainly did more in one game than cacillo did in 2 in my opinion also. but my concern isn't with the 3rd and 4th liners right now.

Outside of Kane, I thought Stalberg was the best forward on the Hawks for game three.

Agree, Stalberg looked good except for the header into the boards on his first shift.

It was like he wanted to take someone out immediately and instead dove head first into the boards. Yikes! Lucky he didn't bust up some cervical discs.

Really? He got hip checked and flung into the boards by a turtle who should have been penalized.

Undercutting Stalberg like that - was 100x more dangerous than Hjallmarsson's hit - that Franzen stayed down on to draw a call...he didn't miss a shift

More stellar playoff memories from Johan. How about when he took Kanes mouth guard from his mouth and flipped it on the ice in (I think it was) the 09/10 playoffs.
