I don't see most people going on about their proclamations or how vaunted their takes were. Stating some throw away lines for discussion isn't really clinging to any hope. It's reflecting on the situation at hand and surveying the possibilities. We don't all have to make some stances as if we have immense knowledge of what will be occurring. It has such little value anyway, it merely just results in bickering to no point over some grand design to be right. Who cares, it's just ideas.

No they don't need every position of that manner to have a locked down long term target, they might be able to make due with a year of a decent RT and find a way to shift some players around the team like Bushrod the next if they found their ways into a LT of greater ability. There is nothing wrong with flexibility in these contexts

Stop it, you're trying to create an argument out of a virtual certainty. If I handed you a sandwich and said the sandwich was 98-percent shit and 2-percent ham would you say to me that there's a chance you're eating a ham sandwich?

Mills or Fabujule.

My guess is Fabjule, he cannot be a worse pass protector than Mills after playing LT and with his length.

I believe Long can play LT, but it's a big switch. I imagine he's had practice reps there prior to this year. Maybe they put him at RT this year. I recognize he's good at guard. I don't think I'm alone thinking his talent is a bit wasted at guard. There aren't a lot of guys who can move like he does at his size. Who frickin knows?

ND is horrible.
Long isn't moving to LT, lol, and if he isn't moving to RT this yr, you can basically forget about it as he isn't that young of a player.

Mills showed a lot of promise as rookie imho, but since the injury has been horrid. Can we see how he looks with a whole offseason to recover and youth on his side, before writing him off completely?

I am not saying he is a starter in this league, but if he's healthy, I am pretty damn sure he is a lot better in 2015 than Tayo is going to be. That guy is a project, and struggled to stay engaged and in front of people in the B12; he'd get used in the NFL unless his body is completely turned around from 2014. I said it before and i'll keep saying it, Tayo is a guy you probably would like to stick on a practice squad and get into a good strength/conditioning/nutrition program for a yr and see where his actual ceiling is athletically bc he probably isn't close to it presently with how his life has gone.

Remember I was the guy telling anyone who'd listen we needed to take a RT in the 2nd, but we didn't....now we'll see what happens.

Mills didn't win the job, Webb quit after he was benched for playing like shit against Greg Hardy.

Webb actually looked better on the Left than Right. Never took the time to fix his slide step from that side. He could have been a solid starter for a long time if his head was screwed on a bit better but the guy just didn't give a shit.
