Statistically, CW is getting out played by every quarterback drafted after him

It’s almost as if moderators are selected for their ability to moderate the forums rather than their football acumen or prognostications! How wild! 🤣
calling out Mods for acumen and prognostications on this board is laughable

Some of that is miscommunication with the receivers (coaching). Not making excuses for him, he hasn't been as good as he should be.
Hard to blame miscommunication when the ball goes over the WR head. That's just a bad overthrow, which he has struggled with all year.

It can be miscommunication. If the WR flattened the route while CW thought it was going to the corner means its miscommunication. Not accuracy really. Its reps and getting on the same page.

Can I shadow you around the Star Wars forum sometime for pointers?
Imagine posting non-stop about politics and vaccines in the Bears forum and then complaining about mini-bans for continually doing what you have been warned about specifically not to do.

this excuse does not work when the WR is running on the back of the end zone.. its a massive over throw which he has done all year and has nothing to do with a miscommunication

Yep. These throws have way too much air under them. He’s throwing rainbows in the red zone.

QB excuses have been a constant on this board for years

I wasn’t commenting on the specific throw, just in general because it’s happened before. Notice I said “can”. Yes the obvious overthrows he needs to get better with. 🙄

after living the Field's and his inability to get the ball out, i noticed before the draft last year that PFF had release times as part of their pre draft stats. If I remember right Nix and Penix were the 2 best in this draft, Caleb and Daniels both approaching Fields' college number. Nix gets the ball out super fast, is accurate and knows when to take off running. He's not throwing any Josh Allen bombs but he gets the ball out like an elite point guard. I was happy to see caleb lead another comeback drive, IMO Caleb has by far the worst Oline of this group of QBs.....his deep ball accuracy isn't there yet though

How did you think he looked Sunday? What I saw was the first Bears QB to go toe to toe with the Packers in a long time and battled to the final play. He made clutch throw after clutch throw.

He put them into position to win just like he did against Washington and somehow the Bears blew it.
He didn’t make throw after throw. You have to score td’s and I’m sure there’s easily 5-10 plays that he missed or fucked up.

Nice to know we wouldn’t take shit for Caleb Williams a 5’9” quarterback that’s quick but not fast in the nfl with a great arm and played for a shitty college team throwing 55 times a game to blow up those stats. He wasn’t a winner there either, transferred from a school. None of these are disqualifying but when added together, they start to add up to a clearer picture.

I’m not saying he won’t be great but he won’t be! He’s a Bear QB, until proven otherwise as I have 100 years of history or close to it full of evidence of QB ineptitude.

So, let’s just wait and see but don’t be fooled, the odds are stacked against him- he’s been horrific with accuracy especially on longer throws but you’re an NFL quarterback.

One thing I noticed is that he way overthrows deep guys probably bc he doesn’t want to give the ball away. Most deep throws intercepted are like punts anyway. It’s the first year, try it! How about once a game or even the first play of the game to catch them sleeping bc we’ve probably run most those downs for 3 or less yards.

I’m not in the nfL business but I’m positive in my own skills to be able to put forth a team as a GM. I would have picked a better coach for sure on both sides of the ball. I’d have watched some practices and I had fired Waldron pretty quick if I saw him letting shit slide with all the lack of details. Oh Chris Morgan would be gone too! Let me guess he will help them the last two games and automatically retain his position as the guy who got Williams sacked more than anyone else in the nfl!
