Have we EVER seen a team trade for a player they traded away 5 months prior?
Umm ... Carter is a blue chip player, so ...There's very little chance of there not being one available. If 3 QBs go before 9 their will be a very high chance one of the top two dbs, LTs and or Robinson will be available. The chance of their not being a blue player gets even slimmer if Carter goes before 9.

It all depends. If they get the 32nd pick would that be considered a 1st or 2nd?
I have never heard of the 2nd one exactly like you said it.There are two schools of thought on this. The first-way future picks are valued with a general starting point value as a pick in the middle of the round, and it's divided by two for one year out. The 16th pick in the first round is worth 1000 points/2 = 500 points. The second is that a future pick is valued as the last pick in that round in the current year. The last pick is worth 600 points. Teams have adopted different variations of the trade chart, but most are accepting the latter as fair market value. However, this is only a valid means of determining value in rounds 1 & 2 because of comp picks in rounds 3 - 7
A pick in next year's draft is devalued by one round where the pick is considered to be in the middle of the round.
They aren’t going to want Claypool back. I hope you’re jokingMy first ask is definitely for #17 and getting #32 back just to throw it out there but after they say no i'd do #9 for #17, #49 and a 5th rounder.
#9
Chase Claypool
for
#17
#49
Diontae Johnson
No. But welcome to CCS!Have we EVER seen a team trade for a player they traded away 5 months prior?
That's just conjecture. Pittsburgh could also be worse. I'd rather have 2 firsts and maybe a 4th or whatever. Having 3 firsts next year, regardless of where they are, will give them a ton of ammo.It sounds sexier but probably doesnt make sense. Steelers already drafting 17 this year and likely to be better next year. So lets say that future first is really 25th. So you would forgo 32 this year and the year of development that 32 pick gets just to improve your draft position by 7 spots.
See above. Given that future first is in the 20s I take 32 all day. Get a guy in the door now who will have a year under his belt by the time 2024 rolls around.
This would be perfect this year's 1st and 2nd and 5th
Will they take Claypool back (I kid)?
Did they get anything else in the trade with the Panthers or just the late 2nd this year? When is the draft?Imagine moving from first all the way to seventeenth just to have the original picks the Bears should've had all along, plus a late-second from Carolina. Oh, and Chase Claypool.
Lmao, what a trainwreck this is already with Ryan Poles.
I like how I read your post first, and then was like, "Who is this idiot? Oh..."Imagine moving from first all the way to seventeenth just to have the original picks the Bears should've had all along, plus a late-second from Carolina. Oh, and Chase Claypool.

Pittsburgh is never the team most likely to get a really high draft pick. But with the first pick on day 2, the Bears can trade that chip for a future 1st and other picks AND choose which team to get that pick from.
The question would become, "is Pittsburg the team most likely to play like crap in 2023 or is there another team on the phone who has more potential to suck in 2023?".
His replies are scripted.I like how I read your post first, and then was like, "Who is this idiot? Oh..."![]()
They just won’t be getting a future 1st along with the #32I'd be trying to get #17, #32 and a 1st next year. If they needed to add a mid round pick this year with #9 to get those 3, I'd do it. Teams in the 20s are supposedly looking hard into Carter so there's a chance he could still be there at 17. Gives you additional flexibility for next season while being able to another high quality prospect with your existing 1st for this season. I want as many picks as I can get towards the top of the draft so I'd absolutely do it.
I'd honestly be surprised if steelers were willing to give up eitherThey just won’t be getting a future 1st along with the #32
The Bears would have to throw in a later pick.#17 and #32 would be a huge overpay. The Bears would likely take that in heartbeat.
There is way more value for a first-round pick even if given in the subsequent year due to the 5th year option. Having a player under team control for an additional year is very advantageous for the receiving club. There is no standard trade chart, every team has its own, but first-round picks always carry more value than mid-second-rounders.I have never heard of the 2nd one exactly like you said it.
I have heard the 2nd one like this,
I guess the news about DJ Moore, a first next year and a 2nd in ‘25 hasn’t reached Fucktucky yet. Apparently, Fucktucky is in the sticks like Arlington Heights.Imagine moving from first all the way to seventeenth just to have the original picks the Bears should've had all along, plus a late-second from Carolina. Oh, and Chase Claypool.
