I didnt mention his handedness

I mentioned how bad he is......and why he isnt and wont be a full time, reliable player.....hes isnt even a bench player on a .500 team

Who said he was full time? I think you're the only one that brought up Clevenger as a starter.

Here is a bit of info:

C: Wellington Castro

VS: RH pitching: .289/.326/.383
VS: LH pitching: .203/.299/.237

So he hits RHP better. Makes having a LH back up pointless.

(this is not getting into him being a quality starting catcher or not.)

Dioner Navarro:

LHP: 18 AB: .556/.652/1.056
RHP: 63 AB: .175/.235/.333

Now I would plug in Navarro when there are LH's but this is on Dale. He likes starting a less productive player based on potential. Again this makes the theory of Dale just being the fall guy for the rebuild project hold more weight.

Other positions:

3B: Valbuena: .247/.365/.418 6 HR Good glove. I would say he would be a down grade and that is sad.
1B: Rizzo:
VS LH: .229/.308/.427
VS RH: .248/.337/.455

Again if anything they could use a RH back up. plugging Navarro over there to get some AB's would make more sense.

Again Steve Clevenger is not needed and to be honest is a waste of a 40 man space.

His true purpose on it is for injury depth.
