Stevenson will be a pro bowler this year. Pure villain mode.

I don't see Tyrique losing his job, especially in preseason. But we do seemingly have a lot of injuries in the secondary through the course of the season that will give Fraizer an opportunity to showcase himself.

He might end up losing his job to anyone, but he's a better fit for what DA asks his corners to do vs. Eberflus highschool spot drop zone - i think its just as likely he has a career year as he loses his job.

Stevenson's job?

Stevenson is possessive of his job. The job is not possessive of Stevenson.

Smith has a better chance to take this job than the rook.

Also, I didn’t read the article!

The Bears are going to have a 32 year old starting FS and a SS who is one good hit from from being toast.

I wouldn't sign any DBs walking papers just yet when there will be a looming possibility of someone being asked to fill in as a stop gap Safety

I want to see what Stevenson can do in a defense that's going to run more along Stevensons strengths when he was drafted out of Miami as a PRESS/MAN Cover CB.

Why is hippolite a threat to Stevenson?
Because they don't realize Zah Frazier is 25 and has played about 400 snaps in 10 college games and has no business in the league and won't make the 53.

Hippo has an uphill battle to beat our special teams all-stars at anything but 40 yard dashes.

Sanborn and Walker should still be here playing good football. These guys are thinking way too hard when they take good football players out and give us Zah Frazier and Cherry Hypollite.

Turner is an unhinged Walker.

Dude, Sanborn isn't good. Let it go. He can't cover to save his life. He's a fine player on a cheap rookie deal, he's not someone you need to sign to a 2nd contract.

Woulda cost at minimum 3.2M to tender him.

I heavily doubt sanborn was coming back here unless tendered, he wanted a chance to compete for more play time and that was not happening here.

DA also wants more speed on the defense, so sanborn clearly aint a fit there.

Meh...I can get 3.2 M out of Sanborn in December/January on a wet or frozen field.
His football IQ is like maybe not Charles Tillman but it's above Hunter Hillenmeyer.

Sanborn got a 1 year deal for 1.5m......thats what the league thought of him.

OK.

I was just illustrating hippolite is the velus of this draft. Both bad players who shouldn't have been drafted anywhere near where they were.

Zah Frazier was a fine pick. Wouldn't have been my choice but he wasn't overdrafted. He played well and tested very well.

Yeah I know it's a weird pattern I don't get.

Hyppolite, Newman, Frazier are crazy reaches that probably all could have got here by correctly communicating to their agents earlier in the process how much you like them. Or go collect a bunch of 7th round picks with that 4th rounder.

Poles does some good things. His mistakes are just so bright and glaring...he makes three "what the **** are you thinking?" moves per year....that ends up being a ten player deficit to overcome per regime.

Frazier wasn't a reach. I believe his consensus ranking was one spot ahead of where he was drafted.

He's a late bloomer who didn't get sturdy enough until recently.
He's also a long corner/free safety.

Manning Jr but cheap?

I get why he is a coveted tryout I just doubt anything above practice squad is a realistic goal. If he gets that far it's a win.
