I used to help moderate a couple boards for a couple of bands. Fresh off of receiving word from the bands' label that they were getting letters from publications like 'Rolling Stone' and 'Spin' about their interviews being pasted into the forums without using a links to the original article and/or pasting the entire article with no credit to the author. They were fine with linking the article, but wanted the message board to delete any copy and paste jobs.
This went fine for about a week until someone does a copypasta job out of Spin magazine. I edit the post so it was just the title of the article and the link.
I make a post in the thread explaining what I did and why. Two days later the same poster makes another thread that is same interview in its entirety. I delete the thread and PM him why I did so and reminded him of everything I covered twice now.
He hits me back with a "It's okay now because I bought a copy of the magazine that interview is in."
We go back and forth a bit while I explain that is not how it works and he never reposts the article.
A week later he is pasting another interview in his thread. I am like "Dude! What part of this are you not getting?!?"
He hits me back with "Its okay...I saved the receipt this time. Where do I mail it as proof of copyright?"
He could have been trolling me or he was a total dipshit. Either way....that is my story.

True mod confession. I used to troll certain posters with my normal account, mostly Vash. Then I would sign into my mod account, and warn both of us to tone it down. Sometimes I would get PMs of him whining, and be like, "yeah nvan is a dick but not technically breaking any rules." That dude reported people soooo much. Like 10x anyone else. Constantly baiting people, and then complaining when they came back at him.
