Nice. Ryu or Ken are the one's everyone start off with. They are perfectly rounded characters and you can accommodate a number of different play styles with them. You'll get bored eventually and branch out lol .

From observing high level play it looks like Ryu is the better of the two right now because of his normal moveset, but Ken has devastating damage potential. It's good that you are getting the combo's down though. I've heard the worst this game has so far is 3 frame link combos which is easy compared to the links in 3rd strike.

Get the combos down and learn how to hit confirm is what I would work on first. To really get better you have to work on the footsie and spacing game though. This game is all about whiff punishing. The hitboxes extend a lot during the active and recovery frames of moves.

Yep, my biggest problem is getting input happy, when I can relax and read I obv play a lot better. I'm not gonna lie, I do depend too much on shoryuken being invincible on startup and I eat a ton of damage if it gets blocked. Rookie mistakes.

I'm working on the St. MP hit confirm which is a large part of Ryu's game. I find myself not being patient enough to link it to St.Mp to tatsu but that's me playing scared more than anything lol.
