O-Chem.... I stay away from that!

The smoker gun is cool because you can use it to add subtle smoke flavors to food as well. It's obviously not like truly smoking meats. But just a subtle hint. It's fun to experiment with. Smoked fries? Why not.
If you have a regular smoker you can also smoke water, freeze it into cubes and add smoke via ice to drinks as well.

If you like tart cocktails I recommend the Gimlet.

That was going to be my only contribution to this thread.

I love those things despite not really liking most cocktails or even gin. Fresh lime juice really makes it if you are DYIing it, but that mix looks perfect.

Simple, refreshing, gets you lit.

10/10

When I was very young we used to drink Tanquery and Squirt. It’s very tasty but not very cordial
Basically a Gin paloma.

Paloma and Mojitos, if not already mentioned are also great simple cocktails that are very accessible.

Also the Dark and Stormy, or otherwise dark rum + ginger beer if not using Goslings.

I had no idea it had a name. Spent many a Friday night drinking those and having a great time. My wife has to get a Mint Mojito whenever we go to the Hacienda. She says they are the best out of anywhere she’s ever had them.

You're a child, but that WAS clever and very funny. What is with your fixation on MJY? He adds 100x more to the board than you. Anyway appreciated your imaginative skewer

I assure you I am grown. If you don't know and understand my disdain for him, maybe you shouldn't interject and dislike my posts on his behalf?
He adds nothing to this board IMO. His verbage is conspiratorial. His vernacular is whack. He changes his name several times a year because he's weak and can't take the sizzle when people call out his bullshit. He's hyperbole. I don't like him.
And you can getthe finger too. the middle.

That’s you….all “sizzle” and no steak.

And you don’t seem grown. Why don’t you prove what kind of “man” you are and go “dislike” a bunch more of my posts…

Taking a page from ole Dongbears huh? You dislike my posts but get all butt hurt when yours get disliked?

Go drink some more cocktails dork.

GLOOG

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1 1/2 cups bourbon, or vodka
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons raisins, plus 1 teaspoon for serving
  • 1 tablespoon green cardamom pods
  • 2 tablespoons sliced ginger root
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 2 tablespoons almonds, blanched and slivered
  • Orange slices, for garnish.

A guy made this and brought to tailgating one Sunday morning. As shot as if swallowed the liquid my toes started warming up. There are various recipes but this one is pretty good on a cold Sunday morning in Chicago.
As a shot?

You do not shoot gloog.

Who are you? 26,000 posts! Never noticed you, in the last few months… but here you are….YOU LIVE here.

If you figure half an hour per post, that’s 13,000 hours you have been on here.

Divide by eight for an eight hour work day that’s 1625 days you’ve been HERE.

A standard 8 hr day, 40 hours a week is 2080 hours worked per year.

13,000 divided by 2080 equals 6.25 years that you have been on this message board…like it was a full time job. YOUR full time job…for over six years.

This is the house you and your other 30,000 post message board bros built. A lot of your identity…comes from here.

Can’t blame you for being mad. All respect that’s due to you, sir. Enjoy your Cuba Libres and appreciate the recommendation.

What the hell happened here? Who did what?

My fault. Absorbed the negative, argumentative, rude and aggressive posts here over the past few months. Got triggered by more of the same today and offended some super important message board bros. Should have kept my mouth shut and let it go.

Thanks for posting on this thread…it was downright civil and thanks all for the suggestions .

Literally whomst ever took a halve hour to make a post it literally only takes a few seconds or maybe a minute or possibly two minutes at most to make a post but a halve hour seems like a literal eternity to write up a few words and hit the post button in my opinion.
