I hope they can afford him but something tells me that they won't be able to.

 He'd be help, how much he has left, I don't know, adding him doesn't put the Bulls over Miami yet, but it'd be a start.

I don't really see us going after him. He's declining pretty fast too, so I don't really think he makes much sense for us unless we're desperate. Even then, how much money would he ask for?

Meh. Hes starting to decline. He would obviously be an upgrade over Bogans. If we could get him for a mid level or even cheaper I would do it but other than that I dont see him taking less money unless he really wants to play with us.

Is see the Bulls, Mavs, Hornets showing interest in VC.

I would prefer that he doesn't come here.

If the Bulls were getting the early to mid 2000's version of Vince Carter, I'd be thrilled but he's getting old. I'd like for the Bulls to get a younger guy at that spot.

Can say the same for Michael Redd. A lot of guys that we can get are either not good enough to get us over the Miami hump, or are old starting to be washed up guys. It'll be hard to get that young guy in his prime that can do most of what we want him to do.

I still like the idea of Monta Ellis even though many here don't and I understand why. If they could get both Ellis and Howard, despite what Ellis lacks on defense, the Bulls could beat Miami.

But I know it would be impossible for the Bulls to be able to trade for both of them, the Bulls just wouldn't have enough to give to Orlando and Golden State.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the Bulls at least get Howard, then they can sign Jason Richardson. Richardson would be a temporary solution for a season or two.

I would agree with that. Howard and Richardson would be huge upgrades. But I guess part of it depends on what we'd have to give up for Howard. If we're trading half our team away for Howard and Hedo/Arenas, I'm not sure if it's worth it, even if we did get Richardson afterwards. If we could magically get away with Noah and Boozer or Deng for Howard, then follow that up with an upgrade of any sort at SG, I think we're in a pretty darn good position.

Monta Ellis is a guy I would take, but he's not super high up on my list. Still, he can flat out score the ball, and that's what we need more of. Howard and Ellis...that would be insane. That's impossible though, so better not dwell on that thought too much.

I thought the same thing. I could see him thinking Boston. Boston, where old NBA players who never won a ring go to play together.,

Carter is hopeless on the defensive end which is why he lost his starting spot to Dudley on the Suns.
Offensively, he can still create his own shot and his production was limited due to the Suns offense running through Nash and thereby taking the ball out of Carter's hands.
However, this wouldn't be so different from the Bulls, and Carter sucked as a spot-up shooter in Phoenix.
Even as for the veteran minimum, I'm not sure if he'd be a good addition. For the MLE? No way!

I wouldn't mind VC on this team. We don't need much from him. Jut stay in front of his man and be a big body at the 2.

He's not going to be the VC of old, but some people still want to give washed up has beens like AI and Tracy McGrady a chance on this team and their best days were YEARS ago.

At least VC has been playing and can give us solid minutes at the 2 and would be a great upgrade over Bogans. This Dwight Howard obsession that has taken over this board is beginning to get to Melo levels. Are you guys seriously talking about J-Rich? Really?

So we trade all of our young players who won 62 games and made the ECF, for Howard and some vets with bad contacts, and that's supposed to get us past Miami?

Right.

I have some beach front property in Wyoming, anyone interested?
