Candidly, I tend to go out with women younger than me, sometimes by quite a bit. I am 39, and I am dating a 27 year old and a 29 year old. That is a pretty big age difference. I also see a 36 year old woman as well so it isnt like I have to have younger than me or the like.</p>

I get why the 16 year old is interested. And that would not be different from my situation... I know why younger women like me. I have no kids or baby mommas. I have good job and older man experience to know how to treat them. The 20-somethings dont have these skills, or not a ton of experience in those skills. I'm not arguing that point at all, and am in full agreeance, Assuming I was single, I couldn't fathom dating someone much younger than 25...much less 21...much less 18...much less 16.  Bleh!</p>

But, let's not try and pretend that a 16 year old is as ignorant and "innocent" in such matters as a kindergartener.</p>

Case in point, back when I was a senior in highschool, there was this event where in a math class (not mine), where a junior (16 going on 17) girl got a tongue piercing.  The math teacher (not mine--he was my soph year), in his 40's made a comment that he "always wondered what kissing someone with a tongue piercing was like."  Creepy, yes.  But after that she lip-locked him.</p>

Now, I don't know if he kissed back or not, and it's basically irrelevant to my point, but of couce there was much wailing and gnashing of the teeth as he was dismissed--rightfully.  But the parents of the girl were coming off like she was the complete victim.  Hello!  She initiated the kiss.  Hate to break it, but they raised a slut--and the tongue-piercing doesn't really lead any credence to her "innocent" state, either.  You could argue that she was dumb, and didn't have the wherewithall to make a proper descision, or whatever, but there were plenty of other 16 year olds in my school who didn't lip-lock their teachers, and likley wouldn't.</p>

My point?  Just because someone is guilty doesn't mean the other party is completely innocent.  Just look at most divorces out there.</p>
