Battle with MIL for Counsell

Although he had what you might call a decent batting eye, one hopes that Craig Counsell doesn't eventually become our hitting coach :lol:

I was talking about the article I wrote... Listach will be the base coach with Quirk taking over as the bench coach and from my count, the Cubs only need another base coach.

Hitting coach: Rudy Jamarmillo
Bullpen coach: Lester Strode
Base coach: Pat Listach
Base coach: ????

Unless they make up another position, that the Cubs didn't have in 2011. In 2010, Matt Sinatro was assistant to Lou Piniella. So.. we never know. We will find out soon and if Counsell is retiring or not. The coaching staff is expected to be announced at the Winter Meetings, per ESPNChicago.com.
