Dunn is not a DH. He never was a DH and never will be a good DH. He has even stated in the past that he didn't want to DH and didn't know if he could do it mentally.

So what do you do with him? You can't trade him. I don't want him anywhere near the OF. Here's what I'd do in 2012:

Make Dunn the fulltime 1B.

Make Konerko the fulltime DH.

Give Dunn an occasional spot start at DH and in RF.

Give Konerko the occasional spot start at 1B.

Sure it hurts us defensively but, we can't continue to have Dunn struggle like this as our DH....and I don't see any reason why he would just suddenly snap out of his historically bad season come 2012.

I don't know about you but, I want Dunn far, far away from the DH role in 2012.

Could it be a platoon of Dunn and Paulie? I'd support that.

I would be ok with, at most, Dunn playing 50% of the games at first

Konerko has shown he can play DH for long stretches and not be effected. Dunn at first would be fine.

I'm surprised at the fact that Ozzie didn't switch them sooner.

Dunn should've been moved to 1B permanently at some point this past season.

Paulie can still play 1st base just fine.

Dunn going there full time when you have a guy that can still play the position pretty damn solid, makes no sense.

Having new people & another season in the AL will hopefully help him.

Have Dunn platoon in the OF and 1B. Switch him up as need be.
