I don't expect any more antics tonight.
It was a misunderstandment. From my view on my couch, I thought Flowers was sort of laughing his ass off at Contreras battling the Ump. Then the very next pitch Contreras yarded and was like "suck on that shit motherfucker" He then got chided as he rounded first and gave the Braves bench a chest thump and was like "**** yall too". As he got back home, I think FLowers was like "what the **** man? I was only laughing" "**** me? No **** you" End of story.
The real story is Francouer is his comments. I had on the Braves broadcast and he was talking a ton of shit. He wouldn't do shit to Contreras and he is airing out his own frustrations with Willson from previous events.

But Flowers and Contreras are fine I think. And the rest of the Cubs and Braves were chattin it up on the bags all night. Francouer can get it though. He had a lot of tough talk and he just assumed Contreras hit the ball and turned around unprovoked to talk shit and that is not Contreras' style at all IMO.

I'm sort of old school and don't love a lot of swag in baseball. (How many people would be pissed if Puig did that playing us?) But the Cubs have been kind of flat about half the time lately and if one of the players is trying to get them fired up I'm okay with it.

Also, anybody who hits like Contreras did yesterday can pretty much say whatever he wants.

I love the fire and hot headedness, I’m the same way myself but Contreras didn’t start anything... flowers butted in running his **** sucker and Contreras didn’t like that and I don’t blame him for how he reacted

Getting off-topic for this thread, but, hey -- I thought the Braves organization cheated in the international pool really, really badly and were supposed to have been given severe fines designed to suck their minors down to nothing for a while, as punishment. That and their GM was supposedly banned from the game for several years.

This starts feeling like someone decided they ought not screw with the TBS home market and quietly just canceled all those penalties.

I have to watch the Atlanta broadcast due to were I live, and I laughed when Francoeur said he wished he would have hit Contreras back in 2016.

I will say that Chip is such a Cubs homer though, and he never talks bad aboot the Cubs.

Had to listen to the Braves guys also last night being down in Tennessee but the Braves and Reds announcers are the worst now, when hawk was announcing it was the White Sox. Could not stand ol joe Simpson for the Braves and Thom brenamen of the Reds (formerly cubs)

The best part of all of this is that after that little dust up, Flowers took called third strike three times and missed a foul popup that landed three feet away from the wall.

I watch all Cubs games (except against Cards) on MLB app, so I pick what broadcast I want.

Maybe tonight I will listen to the Atlanta duo.

They are very one sided. Worse than the Reds or Mets guys. I had to switch back last night. They had nothing of note to make me want to listen to them for any new nuggets of knowledge or cool stats.
