and just because Rose is a hometown kid and loves chicago doesn't he wont leave

if LA can manage to get Kevin Love or Kevin Durant in FA(which im sure can be done)...i fear Rose will join them...i think his brother (who has a big influence on him) will persuade him aswell...we already know his feelings on Bulls management

hell thibs might follow him....the management has manged to start a beef with thibs...a top 2 coach that any team not named spurs would love to have and would try to stay on his good side instead of having a dick measuring contest

Almost seems like the FO doesn't want the Bulls to win. How many years in a row are we going to have an issue with a #2 scorer? And how many years will they whiff on even a mediocre scoring threat? Passed on Rudy ***, OJ Mayo, Nick Young, hell even Caron Butler. Even with Nate's inconsistency, he was an electric player that everyone loved who could light up the scoreboard at times, and they let him go. I don't dislike Dunleavy, but a catch and shoot guy isn't a #2 option on offense.

I used to say Rose wouldn't pull a Lebron, but if this season doesn't work out, Chicago is in danger of seeing him leave. And you know what, I wouldn't even blame him. For as dumb as his brother Reggie was for saying what he said, part of it was true. The FO has been the source of frustration for every Bulls fan (other than Boozer), and if they can only put together one ECF team in 15 years, then its time for them to go.

#2 scoring option?

they couldn't even get a respectable backup center for Noah...i feel thibs is gonna drive Noah into the ground again this year...but i look at whats behind him and i almost cant blame him

and word is they are gonna bring back the corpse of Kurt Thomas lol...dude out there playing with a life alert necklace and pulling a oxygen tank...its time to hang it up

Honestly thats the best option if people want to watch champions.

Reality of the situation?

There is much of nothing the Bulls can do until the offseason. So we have to play with this team as is. We're not going to get any star player for Luol Deng either. The best we'd get for Deng is more role players or we'd have to trade Deng and Noah for one lower tier star player or a cancer to the team (such as what I believe Melo would be).

Though there comes a point where you wonder, is having a lower tier (potentially cancerous) star better than having none at all? This is excluding Rose from the conversation of course. These multi star teams seem to be the recipe for success nowadays and we have yet to get into that game. Were we just screwed after 2010 when we basically whiffed on everyone and got stuck with the leftovers (though our leftovers dropped 31 last night...better than nothing)? Did we ever have a true chance at a "star" as opposed to floating rumors that we might have a chance? Hard to say. Perhaps they've been trying the whole time and have been getting annually cockblocked for one reason or another.

Well, when I look at championship teams that have been assembled recently, you see the Heat and while many people do indeed hate LeBron James, I never viewed him as a team cancer. I've never viewed Wade or Bosh as one either. The 2008 Celtics were the same way. Never viewed Pierce, Ray Allen, or KG as such. The multistar teams have always been a recipe for success. However, I don't think you can just assemble any set of All-Stars and have tons of success.

Thats said Carmelo could still change his ways, but when he moved from Denver to New York and I didn't see any change out of him. He reminds me of Allen Iverson, another player I'd never want for a championship team.

But yes, we've had tons of rumors floating around and nothing ever happens.

Game 1 of the season and the fair weather fans are already rehashing the same things?

Come on, you guys could have waited a month at least.

I would never write a team off after 1 game. Especially a game against the best team in the league on the road. But this is the same core that has consistently come up short in the playoffs. Rather than crying about fair weather fans you should be asking why the result should be different this team around.

it was a move that was realistic (or atleast used to be)

ive stated many times that he doesnt guarantee us beating Miami but is a guy they could help us out

hes a guy you coulda got for pennies on the dollar and wouldnt have to trade a core player for

if you got any better ideas please share them
It was never realistic cuz of his salary. BG would for the first time be realistic next season as a FA, but he would want, once again, more money then he is worth.

Miami has paid for a lot of talent and they are delivering. Tough to beat.

Hope the Bulls organization has that same desire to win it all, instead of just being competitive.

FINALS? How bout a Trade First. Rose needs new moves & Help

Based on what I saw, the heat has locked down on Rose' primary source of offense which is crashing to the hole as fat and hard as he can. Except he's met with bigger athletic guys who knows what's coming. I watched them lock him down several times back 2 back 2 back 2 back
350x700px-LL-e6d95df4_154f2xk.gif

He's gonna have to really show me some significant SOMETHING from Mid to long range consistently. CRASHING TO THE HOLE, CAN'T BE YOUR BREAD AND BUTTER. That style of play, he can't keep that up over time. He's got to get a set shot. SHOW ME...A SET SHOT! A GO TO SHOT! ALL DAY, EVERYDAY, SHOT!

Other than Butler getting buckets the way he does we have no one that can really generate offense on a take over level on this team.

Deng is trying TOO HARD and playing outside his game. He needs to stick to that Bowen role and hit his set shot from the side and work for his opportunity shots because he gets ripped every time he tries to go outside his game and dribble.

All that said LETS BE REAL.... This team ain't doing JACK till they get that second go to guy scorer. And quite honestly, Rose has no real set shot so until we get that other crunch guy, we are gonna be in the EXACT SAME POSITION WE'VE BEEN IN FOR YEARS....People talk about us being a threat, and oh...we are got a dangerous team, but it means JACK cus there is always just ONE GUY ON THE TEAM THAT CAN SELF GENERATE BIG POINTS.

I don't care if we do finish in the top 3, unless a move occurs, the outcome is gonna be THIS:
The HEAT going to the Finals, Bulls were so close.
Deng signing with another team for maybe 10 mill a year, Boozer being amnestied, and the bulls trying their BEST to sign a Superstar scorer. (Which has YET HAPPEN)

I don't care if it is the first game, and how off the shooting was, I see the outcome as I've always had.

WE NEED ANOTHER STAR SCORER!

PERIOD!

you gotta pay the cost to be the boss

we coulda shipped Rip+Korver to the Bobcats and got a guy that can score why Rose isnt in the game...sure hes high priced but for what were giving its a bargain

i think hes gonna look for a contender in FA...he wants win...although hes not gonna take the min like you suggested

Thats nice, but theres an even more bigger problem that will continue to hold championship dreams back....

AND THAT IS JOHN PAXSON-GAR FOREMAN.

The thing that ticked me off this morning is that i shared important info about a private interview a writer and sports analyst had with Paxson in the last couple weeks...

This was talked about for a while about an hour after lastnights loss to the Heat on ESPN1000AM.
And these guys on the radio seemed almost sickened about the mauscript of the Paxson interview and what was said by Pax in the interview.

They didnt say what day exactly in the last couple weeks the private interview took place, but what the Sports1000 AM crew spoke about utterly made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up as i had to literaly pull my car over to catch my breath because it got me steaming mad.......
The info espn radio reveiled was a transcript from an interview straight out of John Paxsons mouth....The way they talked about this interview seemed to even baffle the Sports1000 crew as much as it did me.
In fact it was quite vulgar, depressing and shocking even coming from Paxson.

Listen up people (especially you gullible, nieve ones who think defending Pax year after year makes things better)

If you have small children, i suggest you not let them see what im about to post because its very distrubing.
Heres the scoop............And it may be very upsetting to hear for Bulls fans who trust Paxson.
So im sorrry, but the truth must be heard.

Grab a hold of your loved ones and get your puke bags out.....Okay, let me catch my breath, .....here we go.....Ready?

Take a pause.

John Paxson was asked what his main goal was this season and for next summers off season.
You wanna know what Johnny Jump Shot replied?.................He said his main goal was DRAFT POSITIONING...:(....And he added that Bulls fans should be PATIENT and not be dissapointed if we take a step back from LAST season....Step back from last season? WTF?........We didnt have Derrick Rose last season and we do now....How and the Hell would the Bulls take a step backwards from last season and Rose is back? Paxson also said dont be upset in games lost.......Thats insane talk coming from a GM who constantly claims his mission is to bring Championships back to Chicago.....

So basically he's playing games with us........The Bulls as it stands are only a piece or 2 away from being a serious serious threat to win it all, and instead of John Paxson looking into possible upgrades through trades THIS season and targeting 1 of the top free agents next off season, his plan is to just ride out this season, and focus on Fucking Draft Positioning.......DRAFT PICKS?........AGAIN?......OMG!!!!....Focusing on draft positioning is not the characteristics of a GM who has a very good team RIGHT NOW....We arnt fucking lotterybound.......It doesnt make sense unless he seriously wants to tank a little this season for a damned unproven draft pic.......Really think about that?....................................Understand?........

This is very true stuff right out the horses mouth....I couldnt make shit up like this....
Its insane, but at the same time, this is how Paxsons motives has been for quite some time.....It may come as a suprise to some, but for me this seems like typical conservitive John Paxson and his annual standpat routine....You know, like every year..............

Thats a problem to me and this is imprtant information that would tick off any Bulls REAL fan........
And if you really payed attention to Rose's motivation lastnight, he seemed at times uninterested.........
That tells me he knows about this and he probably feels like, "why bother"...............
Paxsons visionless masterplan would be enough to demotivate even people like Michael Jordan, LOL....

This is what my thread was about that got deleted and swept under the rug this morning..........Why would a mod delete info like that?...........Why? because its not happy nieve false hope propoganda that i read from people like BearPride?

And thats not the worst of it.............listen to this Paxanator excuse from the boss's mouth....

Also in the interview, one of John Paxsons excuses for just focusing on draft positioning was because he felt that the Bulls had no real chance at landing one of the top 5 free agents in the 2014 offseason........

WOW, JUST WOW MAN...................................

If that isnt the best example of GM incompitence, then i dont know what the Hell is..........

Yes, the man everyone defends really said this shit........

Now, to the mod who deleted this valuable info i tried to share this morning, you know who you are....I dont know who did it, and really dont care...Maybe you just misunderstood my intentions of sharing this swept under the rug news....That was wrong and you know it....
Im a Bulls fan and ya damned right im concerned because this is somthing that Fox News would do, not C.C.S...

Silencing the messenger in this case is dispicable....Deleting my post and sweeping under the rugs this true info i am sharing is not going to make this very real problem with Bulls magically disapear like a David Copperfield dissapearing act.....Real Talk............
Bulls fans should be aware of what the man incharge of Bulls basketball operations is thinking....................

Personally, on this interview alone, he should be canned........John Paxson is either going insane, has no confidence in himself, or truely is Special person if this is fact.
This is what i listened to on ESPN1000 AM radio.
Its a credible station for the most part....

And Rose..........No wonder why Rose looked a little unmotivated through parts of last nights game.....
He must proably know whats going on behind the F.O curtains but is too nice of a guy to speak out.
Why overexert yourself for a lost cause...........
Which brings me back to Reggie Rose's comments last season.
Where those really Reggies words, or were they Derricks?
Noone will ever know, but one thing for sure, if it is, it is not unrealistic to assume that down the Road Derrick could REALLY walk and seek out his goal somewhere else.

Paxson or Rose.............Who would you rather keep in the Bulls orginization.

If the F.O doesnt stop there jive ass ways, the future for the Bulls and us as fans is a gloomy one.

.By the way, this wasnt a tape recorded interview or telivised....It was private one on one interview and the guys at espn 1000 were reading right off the interviews manuscript. that they got access to.

Its really pathetic and thats why its time to rebuild the front office, NOT THE TEAM............make sense?

John Paxson and Gar Foreman had better check themselves and get there shit together, because somthing tells me that Jerry wont fire Paxson no matter what if the way he has his sons run the team remains the same.

Thats some fucked up shit man.

Its been 15 going on q16 years since the Bulls were last champions.

20 years is right around the corner.

20 years for the 3rd largest market in the NBA to not make a title appearence is inexcuseable to me..

I dont care what anyone says.

The 1990s cake has been eatin long ago.
This is the frosting and it tastes like shit.

Anyone fill there puke bags yet?

:obama:

How the hell are we supposed to get this star player here to either be Derrick Rose's Pippen or Jordan if the people in charge continue to stand Pat, or as i like to call it "stand Pax"???????

The team doesnt need rebuilding.

The jive ass F.O needs rebuilding.

The team need tweeking and additions.

PERIOD.......END OF STORY.
