Surprised he's actually gone!
Surprised he's actually gone!
I'm going to assume that your esteemed front office knew what they were doing, but I don't know that for sure.
if their goal is to continue to have attendance issues they are a success. im fucking really pissed off. i usually get mad at things with the sox but this takes the cake.
What? By not bringing back an aging catcher who averaged an OBP of .317 during his tenure before his career year?
Flowers can probably replicate that, plus hit homers.
I don't include 2012 because its a career year and he likely won't repeat that. So using 2010 and 2011 (which he is more likely to produce), its really more of a :
278/312/397 (708 OPS) and an OPS+ of 89 line.
I think Flowers can sniff that. I'm not saying Flowers will be an all-star and our starting catcher for years to come, but he can match AJ.
fine...even than flowers wont be sniffing aj.
again you fail to realize that the specific team make up has to include strikeouts. its ok as an out but like me and rubio were discussing....it matters a whole lot more when we look at the sox specifically.
the bottom of the order is strikeoutville with viciedo, beckham, and flowers than add in 200ks for dunn....its a bad mix. when you get the middle of the order on you wont get those guys in because 1) they cant hit 2) they cant even get guys moved over....per the K.
you can continue the billy beane shit with "ohz well the Ks dont matterz" .....but remember we arent evaluating a specific player, we are evaluating a team, and the team got a whole lot worse
Really? You don't think Flowers can match a .708 OPS? Come on now, man.
Fair enough, but I'm also assuming Tank gets moved and Beckham gets replaced.
Oh, please. Don't treat me like I'm Special person. You're still my guy though.
