We need to find the scoring, getting 2 goals in regulation will not see us win regularly

I agree.

Thomas played well for an old fart.

All these teams (especially goalies) are stepping up their game for the cup champs.

I'm going easy on the turnovers last night because a million gallons of Pina Colada Slurpee flattened with a lawn roller is going to **** with anyone's game. I've seen malls with better ice.

That being said, the mailing it in the 3rd has to stop.

On the positives, though Toews had a great game, and he hand Sharp were huge in the shootout. I have to give some Props to Brookbank, he had a really good game as well. I don't know if Rosie has a lingering injury or what but if Brookbank and Kostka keep it up Rosie becomes expendible.

Oh, so now goal scorers seem valuable?

The Hawks are shooting at a 7.9% clip so far this year, after a ridiculous 9.9% last year.

In 2011-12, they shot at 9.3%. So at some point they'll get back up to the norm, which will be over 9%.

The goals will come. In the meantime, they're piling up points, and just as sure as their shot percentage will correct itself, so shall Colorado's save percentage. They're not going to be over .950 for long.

How does that correspond with the rest of the league both this year and last year?

Even so, if we really delve into the blackhawks record, there's a slight slant that they're worse against playoff-teams (as of now), but the real telling take is that they're 0-1-1 against the western conference, which by the numbers is beating the Eastern conference unmerciful.

It's nowhere near panic time, but it's probably about the time where they should be, "Uh, hey, you might want to look into that before it becomes an issue."

But the league in general doesn't routinely blow leads in the third period. Sample is just way too small. It'll even out.

Last year they were ridiculously above the league average. This year they're just above it.

They've still got 15 points in 10 games. That's better than a 120 point pace. The franchise record is 112.

No I was agreeing with you. The Hawks won't continually be giving up leads in the third period like they have. No team does that. If they keep out shooting their opponents like they have been and limiting the opponents shots as they have been (for years now), and playing generally as well as they have been, they'll be fine. A few roster moves here and there is all that needs to be done, which have already been discussed.

What roster moves need to happen?

I'm not disagreeing, but who do you bring in?

My guess is that most of the board will agree Zus will easily lead the votes on board dog house.

Rosival might be #2.

Yeah, swapping Handzus and Pirri is the primary one. It's not even for me him being in the "dog house", he just is what he is at this point in his career, time to see what Pirri can do. And maybe give Sharp some time on the top line.
